The two original cuts on the B side from Jheal Bashta are exploited as raw material by Aiken and Exium to create two outstanding remixes, which are a faithful and genuine reflection of a bygone era. We’re thrilled to welcome Aiken and Exium to Traces Records.
The four Spaniards ready their hydraulic hammers to shake the ground with four cuts of classic 90s techno, melancholic electro and touches of IDM.
Next to this ore body, there is a digi-only track with a suffocating atmosphere and coalripping bass line, called “Seismicity”.

All tracks written & produced by Jheal Bashta (Alejandro Torre), remixed by Aiken (Alfonso López) and Exium (Héctor Sandoval and Valentín Corujo).

TECH CLUBBERS PODCAST W/ OLIVER WAY

EPM’s co-founder and one half of the Detroit Grand Pubahs, Oliver Way has spent the best part of a quarter century promoting and pushing other artists, currently managing Robert Hood, Floorplan, Eddie Fowlkes, James Ruskin & Mark Broom.
Oliver has been a recognised figure in the Techno scene for some time. As a DJ since 1991 when he began working a record shop called Bass Box ( owned by legendary rave organisation Raindance ), and later subsequently releasing under his own name in 1998 on Urban Substance Records before joining the Electro / Techno / Funk outfit Detroit Grand Pubahs in 2002. 
Taking up the pseudonym ( The Mysterious ) Mr O he produced alongside Paris the Black FU for their own label Detelefunk label. More recently he has collaborated with Ben Long ( Space DJz ) on numerous releases and provided remixes for labels like Torque, Engineroom, Beard Man and BulletDodge Records.
His debut solo album was released in 2018 titled ‘From The Shadows’ on the EPM Music imprint.

After some plausible backstory the 88756 program was born - the first computer algorithm to be truly indistinguishable from man. Designed to explore concepts such as individuality and what it means to be human, it quickly adopted a creative pursuit in techno.

The program's sound consists of overly complex, evolving synthesis and the liberal butchering of drum machine samples - described by one individual as "the soundtrack to a futuristic pacman but like it's also a 3D shooter".

Its 3 years of activity have produced works available on many local and international imprints, including @connection-verified (Melbourne), @otomotrax and more recently Soma sub label @avoidantrecords.

Expect a journey through all things electro, techno, and industrial for episode 2 of Yax Invites.

Dear Knotweed and Decision Making Theory friends and followers,

We are getting to the end of 2021, and what a year it was. To celebrate 10 years of existence of Knotweed Records, we released 8 vinyl during the course of the year. We also released one Decision Making Theory.

The idea behind the mix is to show that with 45 releases, Knotweed has always been coherent in its approach to techno: you can easily mix a track released in  2012 with a track released in 2021.

The mix encompasses a track of each vinyl released in 2021, as well as some oldies and some previews of what is to come in 2022.

Thanks to Dying, Mattias Fridlell and Alexander Johansson, Javadeep, Andrea Belluzzi, Joaquin Ruiz, The Plant Worker, Rove Ranger, Mode_1, Myk Derill, echologist and Gonzalo MD for delivering such great music during the last 12 months.
