Nine Lights is an Alternative/Pop/Rock band from Weston-Super-Mare and Portishead. After relentless song writing and regular gigging for the past year Nine Lights have a full roster of original songs ranging from upbeat and catchy, to relaxed and haunting. Coupled with a live performance to keep you on your toes and itching for the next gig makes this band a ‘One to Watch’.
The Stevie Wonder influenced soulful vocals from Liam Whitby, 20. The Muse influenced melodic guitar lines from the exceptional Dan Thompson, 21. A ‘tooiight as a tiger’ jazz-funk influenced bass groove from Sean Booth, 20. Along with the solid ‘Keith Moon’ style hard hitting drums from the man at the back - Jack Ford, 21.
With experience playing at Bristol’s Colston Hall, Cardiff’s Coal Exchange, Reading’s Sub89 and having also supported Simon Townshend at The Fleece, Bristol. There are really no bounds as to how far this band could go!
Recently Nine Lights Released their first music video of their very popular ‘Hanging On’ and with songs soon to be available on iTunes the hard work put in by the lads might well just pay off.
