Wattsun is the sonic alter ego of Daniel Boulos, a Calgary-based producer and vibe architect on a mission to bend bass and light into immersive musical journeys. From deep psychedelic grooves to shimmering melodies, his sets are portals—transporting listeners across dimensions of sound. Formerly known as illementree, he’s opened for icons like Hedflux, Random Rab, and Grouch, and lit up festivals like Motion Notion and Astral Harvest. Equal parts music producer, event curator, and audio alchemist, Wattsun turns dance floors into launchpads.

Psychedelic Trance DJ From Canada (Psyblings Productions, PurePsyence Events)
Mechanical Laughter, (Formerly known as Bman), got his first taste of Trance music at Motion Notion Festival in 2005. Inspired by his experience at the festival, Mechanical Laughter was set on learning the ways of DJing and dove deep into the realm of Psy Culture.
Since then, he has been a direct part of Edmonton's Psychedelic scene, playing many shows within various crews since 2006, and forming Psyblings Productions in Edmonton in 2019. More recently becoming a roster DJ for PurePsyence Events, Mechanical Laughter has a few smaller festival gigs under his belt, and has now played the infamous Motion Notion in 2024.
A devout lover of psychedelic music, Mechanical Laughter plays a no holds barred style of pure, driving Psy Trance with emphasis on sunrise/sunset full-on power, zany-space sounds, alien encounters, and the intent to reel in even the biggest naysayers of trance!
Getting back into the Psy Trance scene in the last few years I can say I've missed the people, parties, music, and especially the dance floor. Playing to a crowd of trancers is truly an unparalleled experience for me, especially outdoors in the heart of nature. I thrive on keeping the energy high and dance floor buzzing throughout my sets, maintaining a unique, otherworldly experience.
