@mxxnwatchers & @Weirmusicofficial ’s sophomore EP, Stoner House, elegantly rides the dichotomy between organic & electronic music. Heavily influenced by dub-reggae from an early age, the Colorado-based producers have further developed their signature style that fuses club-ready dance music with ethereal and psychedelic downtempo. The 5-song EP features live guitar, percussion and saxophone, mixed atop psychedelic sound design and deep, melodic soundscapes with the duo’s signature low-end and dancefloor-friendly drum grooves.

"AVEN" is the new EP of the artist Jean Dasso aka ORSSO, also known under his former producer's name Yeahman. This opus (to be released at the end of 2022 on UK label Earthly Measures) presents a more club-like facet, sounds that aim to cross dancefloors, through travel and trance. We can’t talk about ORSSO’s music without talking about colors, a disparate cohesion, an immensely textured journey, and it would be an illuminating one.

On this new EP of four tracks, we recognize the sound range of the multi-instrumentalist, a very true sensibility for dreamy and adventurous melodies, even if he has, for the occasion, swapped his guitars for synthesizers, percussions and sharp drum machines.
Orsso draws a landscape filled with a new energy. Jean's vision is palpable, softening some of those annoying rules and borders in electronic music. It's colorful on all counts, but also finding back his Global Bass Music influences. The rhythms intermingle, transcend the borders, and we discover with surprise dancehall and breakbeat facets ("Almadies"; "Curruca"), modular soarings ("White Lichen"), or a delicious dub ride ("Plateforme"). A journey through many soundscapes, an excuse to wander elsewhere

There is also this strand running though it all, non-tangible, that makes us all feel very reassured. The party is never far, it depends on whether you arrive before, during or after.

Nadir shook us deep down with his musical vision of blending traditional music and organic instruments with club music, supported by an extensive knowledge of music roots and history. Part of the successful french label Nowadays Records crew and curator of the now legendary "Musique de Fête" compilations, gathering the finest global clubbing musicians, he is an experienced traveller sharing his love for sound everywhere he goes, connecting and collaborating, in his holy search for the new wave of tribal and trance-inducing music. Deep electronic explorations in this week’s mix from the wonderful producer https://soundcloud.com/enlabarda weaving in folkloric influences from her native lands and beyond. Featuring sublime cuts from the likes of Frikstailers, Numa Gama, Uji, Tribilin Sound, Tremor and many more, as well as several exclusive tracks from Barda herself. 

Barda is Cecilia Gebhard, music composer and DJ from Buenos Aires, Argentina. In her music she fuses sonic beatmaking with melodies, synthwaves and rhythmic patterns that can be influenced by folklore or world music as well as electronic music. She grew up in the Argentinian Patagonia, surrounded by pumas, foxes, dessert, rivers, lakes and the beauty of the natural world. She is also cites Leda Valladares and Maria Elena Walsh (pictured in the artwork) as huge inspirations and indeed Leda appears in one of the tracks in the mix alongside a stack of unreleased Barda gems.
