Longtime friends and more recently musical partners, Sean Quinn and Zak Iannitelli spent the Fall of 2011 locked inside a friend's garage loft studio minutes up the road from their home town in New Jersey.  What came of the time spent writing, recording, discarding, and re-writing are five new songs which have been released under the duo's new moniker, wavefarmer.  The E.P., Noises, holds the first batch of material from the band which is just starting to make their way into live settings around the Northeast.

 

Iannitelli, makes his home behind a minimalistic drum kit with a twist. Incorporating keyboards, synthesizers, and a multitude of other gear, the percussionist and producer creates and tears down sound and rhythm-scapes with an energy and finesse that can only be done justice when seen live.

 

Quinn, works primarily behind the microphone and handles the Guitar and singing duties on stage.  As a songwriter and producer himself he spent his college days working on the craft of acoustic songwriting, but now finds new freedom in this more orchestrated duo dynamic.

 

Wavefarmer stems from  many influences ranging from groups like Genesis, to the Soul and Motown acts of the 60's, and great harmony groups like The Beach Boys.  Some of their inspirations are worn on the sleeve, while others are slightly more buried.

The Whitescarvers were born in March 2011.  The band was started by two best friends, Zak & Mike.  Zak and Mike grew up in Southern New Jersey where they became musical soul mates.  Throughout the years they have played in various bands, Zak as a drummer and Mike as a bass player.  After years of rolling around the United States and developing their skills they finally came together to make what is now The Whitescarvers.  The band has a unique blend of Rock, R&B, HipHop, jazz and blues.  The Whitescarvers recorded their first 5 song demo during 2011 at Blix YZ Studios with their grammar school music teacher James Whitescarver.
