This bluegrass tour-de-force showcases everything that makes the Wavelore Pedal Steel a revolutionary instrument: Bebop-like detached lines melt into cascading arpeggios, sustaining chords bend selected notes in staggered order, pick damping makes stopped notes gitty and intense, and the "Modern Tube Amp" convolved amp model adds a generous helping of room sound.

All this aside, the most amazing thing about this demo is the fact that it was sequenced using a single MIDI channel, whose memory requirements were no more than was needed to load the single-note samples. These samples were then manipulated using Wavelore's custom scripting and convolution amp modeling to mimick the behavior of the pedal steel. This approach is markedly different and far superior to that of sampling a limited number of licks and hacking them together in your DAW - this demo and the others are proof that you can play or write any line you want with the Wavelore Pedal Steel Guitar! 

Belbin's Breakdown

These audio demos show our Pedal Steel Guitar in several different formats. "Belbin's Breakdown" demonstrates its ability to play a break-neck bluegrass style, where "Lullaby" shows its slow, sensitive side. The ballad, "This Road", by Aaron Mcbreairty demonstrates the instrument's aptness in an accompaniment role (with an understated pedal steel solo in the break), and Jeff Laity's "Lunar" is a tip-of-the-hat to slow psychedelia, reminiscent of David Gilmour's playing on Pinks Floyd's classic album, "Dark Side of the Moon".

Funeral March

These audio demos show our American Zither in a number of different contexts. "Meditation" demonstrates its ability to play bent pitches in a solo setting, where "Recuerdos de la Alhambra" (Francisco Tarrega - 1852 – 1909) features two zithers (one playing double-strung accompaniment, one play single-strung melody) in duet. Alan Blattberg's (http://alanb.org/) "Moon Lies Black Upon the Straits", is a virtuosic tour-de-force of the instrument's tremolo features. Alan also composed "Dark Matter I", as an example of how the American Zither can be used with free plug in effects to create otherworldly swells and pads. 
Jeff Laity's "Typical Day" (http://www.jefflaity.com/), Mark Belbin's "Oriental Dirge", and Rich Blenkinsopp's "Return of the Zither" (http://studiobeemusic.com/) showcase the instrument in ensemble settings.

These are the first four short demos of the upcoming library from Wavelore Instruments.
