La Noche Perdida – Monk I & Pope

Culture Dub Records is proud to put the spotlight on ‘La Noche Perdida’, an instrumental and Dub version for Free Download. It has been composed and mixed by two experienced international producers: Monk I and Pope. They campaign for denounce this space race against nature with influences from the roots of Reggae and in Dub experiments. 

Monk I aka Tomás Spicolli is the founder member of the Tildaflipers combo and lives half the time in Buenos Aires. Pope aka Pablo Volt of STA is near Barcelona. They produce sounds on the fringes of urban culture for more than a quarter of a century. 

The sound, graphic, visual collaborations as well as the shows between the two groups were the basis that shaped the EP series that the duo produced for several years: "Imperio de Barro" was their first opus released on the Prius Discos label of Buenos Aires in 2020. Then a few months later, in 2021 “Crece”was released in self-production available in digital format on various platform. These two opuses received good reviews and entertain the idea an upcoming full LP. 

This new single, 'La Noche Perdida', proves the vitality and the inspiration they find in today's international scene where people are locked in with restricted freedoms. On the other side of the planet, new societies move freely in the world setting up hundreds of satellites into orbit every day, acting in the spirit of the new boom in the capitalist space race with the ominous possibility "of losing the dark of the night under the false promise of 24-hour connectivity!"

Don Alduck hatched out in 2010, then after two years spent travelling across India, he comes back to France in 2015 and restarts producing Dub and Bass Music with ethnical and Bollywood influences. 
On the french label Marée Bass, he released its first album « Outbound journey » in 2018, followed by The Dub adventures, three albums from 2019 to 2022. 
Take a chance to discover Don Alduck on stage with its live Dub and VJing set which will plunge you in a unique retro-pop-bollywood-cartoon atmosphere. 

In 2022, discover the third and last volume of The Dub adventures of Don Alduck « Last chapter », Electro Dub EP which tends to many dub boundaries, from the most classical roots dub style towards « la dub » styles and even close to vapor, Bass music and Hip Hop inspirations sometimes.
After this last musical journey, Don Alduck will retire from the dub scene at the honorable age of 12 years old.

Massaia DUBkillah aka Elex is a dedicated activist of mexican Reggae Dub culture. Native of Queretaro, a city of Mexico, he uses to participate and share his passion for music since 1998… He has been part of several Reggae bands of his town like Green Olive and Junkunus.

From 2001 to 2008, he shared national stages with legendary groups. This experience will bring him into international Dub promotion in Mexico, presenting artists like Jah Works, Webcam Hi Fi, Indica Dubs, Weeding Dub, Haspar, Brother Culture, Bukkha, Dubstuy, OBF, Mr Zebre and Jah Massive, among others!

In 2013, Massaia DUBkillah is born! Elex starts a new activity in music production, taking the path of Dub Steppa style. This will bring him to build his own Sound System, following the tradition of the ‘Do It Yourself’ movement…

2020 is a year dedicated to composition for Massaia DUBKillah, with the production of a first sung EP, named « Revolutionary Sound Army »! It can be described as militant Dub Steppa, in company of huge artists from international Sound System stage : Blackout JA, Fitta Warri, Ras Demo aka Demolition Man, Lisa Dainjah, Lengualerta and Mowty Mahlyka aka Dark Angel…
