Unrilis is very excited to welcome Sudo for His Debut EP on the Label called “Awareness” Includes two wonderful remixes from Jam El Mar

Born in Japan but currently living in Berlin, Sudo is known for his DJ/Live Act and production creativity as he has released on other big labels such as Dubfire’s SCI+TEC, Uto Karem’s Agile Recordings, Metodi Hristov’s Set About, Selected., Misfit, Subvision to name few, Gaining as well support from Adam Beyer, Sven Väth, Richie Hawtin, Laurent Garnier, Pan-Pot, Deadmou5.

Sudo “Mainly, I was making more listening stuff until few months ago, because there was no party because of the pandemic, but when party started slowly all over the world, my mood changed to make music for dancefloor. Also at that moment I was going back to my roots.
So, they represent my roots which has element of energy and beautiful melody in the early 90's. And I tried to make it modern”

“I grew up with lots of Jam & Spoon music ever since early 90's. And I am a big fan of Jam El Mar's music for long time. So, in this occasion I wanted to ask him to make a remix for me. And fortunately he has accepted. It's a great honor’’ 

Sudo opens up the EP with Awareness and then Eternal, a typical peak time with an atmospheric breakdown followed by an electrifying lead and dancing rhythms and pounding beats. Followed by Jam El Mar that gives a new feeling and touch to the track Eternal with two wonderful remixes, Sudo closes the EP with Awareness Intro that gives you goosebumps and gets your soul on the dancefloor.

Although based in Berlin for several years, Dustin Zahn has continued to exert influence over the fertile but steadfastly underground Minneapolis techno scene as part of the Intellephunk collective whilst cultivating a worldwide rep via releases for Blueprint, Token and his own Enemy Records. The ‘Gain of Function’ LP sees Zahn channelling the groove-fuelled techno of the late ’90s and early ’00s and shaping eight powerful but funky contemporary techno tracks that display the decades of experience under his belt. 

Forged from a series of live jams with two drum machines and two synths, the album is a refined collection of raw, purist techno brilliance. Across the A-side ‘Tell Me About Paradise’ brings shimmering staccato chops under bright and airy percussion before ‘Tangie Groove’ picks up the pace with floating pads, vocal slices, and a rumbling bassline. On ‘Lucid Dreams’, scattered percussion plays with hypnotic synth licks, while ‘Smoking in Silence’ sees off-kilter leads dancing between emotive vocals and evolving drum loops.

Opening the second disc is the deep and shuffling ‘Crimson Cheeks’, with trance-inducing samples nestled between sharp drum hits and rolling synthesis, and ‘Days Like These’ takes a darker turn as twinkling arps and droning pads carry the track. ‘Shark Rodeo’ featuring Jeremy Black mangles samples into a dense rolling affair, before closing number ‘Next Level Looseness’ drops the 4/4 pattern for a raucous club track, combining oddball sound sources and unruly production techniques for a trippy finish to the album. 

Since the late ’90s, Zahn’s hypnotic and driving techno has consistently caught the ears of top DJs and labels worldwide, with anyone catching his marathon sets at the likes of Berghain exposed to expansive sets. In addition to his techno-heavy catalogue and DJing prowess, Zahn has lent production and engineering skills to bands and singers, recently working with Poliça and on Carm’s Pitchfork approved eponymous album. Beyond this, his vital work with Intellephunk includes the nearly two decades long running Communion after-hours events, cementing his invaluable contributions to the scene.

One of the final releases on Rekids for 2021, the label boss rounds out an exceptional year for the label, which has seen albums and EPs from Joaquin Claussell, Mark Broom, Robert Hood, Ian Pooley, and many others.

I finally got to play the original at the Berghain Garten in September, and the reaction was great, but I knew I had to go back to the studio and create a full-on techno mix. Mauro Somm is Set to make his debut called “Deep Control” on Unrilis with a brilliant release including two Remixes from Zafer Atabey and also Joyce Mercedes.

Based in Buenos Aires Argentina, Mauro Somm is a newcomer to the international techno scene as he started 2 years ago carving out a name for himself amongst some of the best selling Beatport artists within the driving and peak-time techno. Already released music on many respected labels such as Christian Smith’s Tronic, IAMT, InDeep'n'Dance to name few. 

His work has gained support from artists such as UMEK, Space 92, Christian Smith, Gallya, Joyce Mercedes, Sam Wolfe, Sisko Electrofanatik and many more.
In the exploration for new grooves and sounds, Deep Control is the first result of Mauro Somm's new journey into music where he delivers an amazing rhythm along with cool synthesizers that make us remember the previous techno sounds of the 2010 - 2017. His main inspiration is the groovy, Minimal & Bigroom techno style.

Mauro Somm delivered two fierce versions of the track “Deep Control” as the Raw Edit took the track to another level of aggression with polished modern synthesizer sounds followed by another two remixes with very unique expressions from Zafer Atabey and Joyce Mercedes as Once Again Intro closes the EP.
