"Cold Flower (full bloom) EP" is an exploration of different types of bloom interpreted via hazy and lush sounds, subtle touches of dreamy house music in contrast to fast-paced highs, melodic trance sounds, and warm basses.

Melbourne-based artist Cris P kicks off the 30-minute journey with “Cold Flower”. The dominant lower frequencies in combination with the harmonized highs of this track, aim to take you right into the calming yet intense atmosphere of sweet-scenting cherry blossoms.

Rosario continues with “Stigma flap”, a remix of Cold Flower in which he remains true to the song’s vocals and adds an exciting layer by continuously switching between dimmed down, softer elements and bass-heavy, stronger moments.

Finalizing the record’s A-side, Ouxh brings up the speed in his track Aomori, named after the snowy yet green city in the far north of Japan. The precise drum programming and bubbling synths are at the core of this timeless piece. 

The B-side starts in the middle of a cold desert at night, alongside the slowly awakening flowers that open up to welcome the sunshine of the coming morning. 

With “High and dry” Berlin’s Ed Herbst starts straight into a mess of striped-down heads. He plays with subtle pads, vibrating from left to right, just before bringing in the baseline, tipping the record off into a more dancefloor-able direction. 

Ed continues with a second track, which is characterized by a warm and punchy kick and powerful bass, finishing of the EP with a lush and flowing groove, reminding us of a jungle full of vibrant, violet pattels.

Rollover Milano, the super polished Milan based label and party night, comes Ferrari. Also hailing from Milan, the DJ & producer makes a welcome return to the label at full throttle. Known for conjuring up space rock from far flung corners of the galaxy with a warm house and cosmic disco lean, Ferrari is shortly to drop his Subacqueo EP with a collection of high-speed, dance floor killers. The rhythmic rave and acid lines of the title cut get a rework from Aussie producer Bell Towers, who twists it up into a cosmic disco tornado, with added paradise house flavour. The EP stylishly pays homage to the 90s rave in its closing cut ‘Morning Routine’. As with all things Rollover Milano, this is a package of elegant and deadly dark destroyers designed to make a well-dressed dancefloors sweat.

From early residencies at weekly student nights in Glasgow to playing a pivotal role behind the scenes at La Cheetah Club, Big Miz has been immersed within the city's walls since he was a teenager. 

In Glasgow, larger labels are always keen to support local talent and during one of his frequent visits to Rub A Dub Records, Big Miz was introduced to Dixon Avenue Basement Jams which eventually led to the release of his first EP. 

Miz has carried this Glasgow courtesy throughout his whole career, which eventually led to connecting with HOMAGE label head Ryan Clover where they exchanged feedback and spins before locking down a release on the label's heavy schedule. The New York based label's ethos shares parallels to Glasgow's - collaborative, fluid, and always ready to party. 

We feature ‘The Feeling’, which makes its presence felt with chunky kickdrums and uplifting vocal samples; Big Miz's attention to detail and years of dancefloor education shines through, first establishing a hypnotic introduction and powerful transitions that have us hooked from the first bar.

Somehow Klasse Wrecks has made it to 50 official releases, not bad for a label that wears its ignorance for others and 'the norm' proudly on its dirty sleeve. Over the years the label has released a multitude of various sounds, spanning bleep, rave, deep house, down tempo and the 50th release does well to encapsulate that free spirit and openess. Without much planning and totally by way of coincidence the responsibility lies with label co-owner Luca Lozano and its sonically a typical mixed bag as to be expected. Kicking off with restless acid stomping, the title track barges through the door...knocks over a few drinks before blossoming into a breakdown that propels the 303 deep into space and back again. On the A2, Lozano shows off his love for creaky breakbeats and DX donks on a track called 'Re-Mix'...which as far as we know isnt a remix of anything at all. The flip contains more raving beauties, 'Save Me From The Rave' might be a desperate plea but by the sounds of it he's still enjoying the madness, the producer makes an epic breakdown that might well signify the end of all Trance homages. Then the final track of the EP sounds like it could be played in a field in Glastonbury in 1993, its haunting vocal harmonies signify the sun is coming up soon and likely that we're about to start Chapter 2 of the Wrecks Wrebellion. The special edition sleeve artwork features examples of previous artwork from the last 50 records, overlaid in a typically chaotic manner by the label's designer, PLANETLUKE.COM.

Where Is the Party At? Well, def in Iceland as far as we are concerned! We welcome the splendid Moff & Tarkin to our label
family with this dope and energetic release. The Icelandic artist currently based in Vienna dropped us these fine tunes and we just couldn’t resist. Hard hitting acid/breakbeat rave-y house anthems! And adding longtime companion and friend Felix Leifur as a bonus on this release means Double trouble!

The driving opening track “Dry Paint” is a proper belter, a mix of old school acid house/techno with really catchy vocal samples, propelling any dance floor into oblivion. The party is certainly started here! Moff & Tarkin says: “There are a lot of acid + drum machine jams out there and I wanted to do my own, feel like I never did one. This was the outcome. Will buy anyone a Poke bowl who spots the sample.”

Onwards to the beautifully laidback yet also very rave-y breakbeat jam that is “Boyhood”. Moff & Tarkin says: Meant to be a breaky rave track, ended up being something else. You might be able to rave to it (is that a saying?) but you might also just be able to take a walk.

“Show Up!” is taking the pace a step further down again and brings us back to a more old school Hip Hop 90s vibe, a strange yet great mixture of styles in this one, you have that nasty acid-y sound and those trance-y arpeggio stabs on top of a solid breakbeat.

Moff & Tarkin says: This track features a sample that I had been thinking about using for years. Mentioned it to my friend when we were bowling, it was a Saturday night which meant it was disco bowling, which I think means they have disco lights and play bad music. Anyways I bowled a few games then I got home and started working on this track. The sample is not the one you think it is.

Closing out with the ever-brilliant Felix Leifur on remix duties. Well what can we say? been far too long we have heard new music from this guy! He takes on “Dry Paint” in his signature nasty way. Pushing the limits and adding hard hitting acid sounds and in the middle of the track turning the whole thing into a real breakbeat frenzy! We love this version so much! Happy to have Felix back with such a strong offering! Play these ones out loud! With a BANG!

Full Circle, el proyecto en dúo de Alexis Le-Tan y Joakim, comenzó hace 10 años cuando Alexis descubrió accidentalmente que algunos de sus antiguos discos de Goa Trance, que estaba a punto de vender, sonaban genial cuando se reproducían a la velocidad incorrecta: 33rpm en lugar de 45rpm. Llamó a su amigo y colaborador de larga data, Joakim, para trabajar en ediciones de esas pistas, que se convirtieron en la firma sonora de este dúo de DJ: un sonido lento, pesado y psicodélico que eventualmente se infiltraría en los márgenes de la escena de clubes underground a través de DJs afines como Vladimir Ivkovic, Jane Fitz, Ivan Smagghe y muchos más.

Diez años después y con un montón de lanzamientos y remixes a sus espaldas, Full Circle decidió contar la historia de cómo nació este sonido Goa. En un momento en que el Trance ha hecho un gran regreso e infiltrado prácticamente todos los subgéneros de la música de club, parecía adecuado mirar hacia atrás a donde todo comenzó - cerrando el círculo, cuando el Trance no era Trance, Goa no era Goa, pero se estaban sembrando las semillas de la música de baile psicodélica.

Después de todo, hay innumerables compilaciones sobre el Balearismo, la escena cósmica italiana, The Loft, The Paradise Garage, etc., pero ninguna sobre las raíces de este sonido Goa.
