Something for Kate are a three piece band from Melbourne, Australia. The band are comprised of singer/songwriter/guitarist, Paul Dempsey, bass player, Stephanie Ashworth & drummer, Clint Hyndman.

The band have to date released five studio albums, as well as a double album of B-sides, a double Best -Of album, a DVD, a live album, a video collection, three e.p’s, and too many singles to mention.

In 1996, Something for Kate signed to Murmur Records, an offshoot of Sony Music which was their home for 10 years. During this time the band toured endlessly throughout Australia as well as the US, Europe & Japan. They have toured with everyone from Death Cab for Cutie to David Bowie playing many major festivals also. They have been nominated for 13 ARIAS (Australian Record Industry Awards), achieved 5 platinum and gold selling albums, 4 Top 10 albums, taken out numerous awards for Best Live Band, Best Male Vocalist, Best Album, Best single from Rolling Stone Magazine, the Australian Music Industry Critics Awards,The Age Newspaper, Triple J to name just a few.

Having completed their contract with Sony Music, in 2008 after touring for their final release for the Sony label,The Murmur Years – The Best of Something for Kate 1996-2007, the band signed to EMI/Capitol Records Australia. And in 2009, singer /guitarist Paul Dempsey commenced a solo career in addition to his work with Something for Kate and subsequently released his first solo album, Everything is True. The album was highly successful in Australia, entering the charts in the top 5 upon it’s release, surpassing gold status and being declared Album of the Year by iTunes amongst many other accolades.

After relocating to New York in 2010, Paul Dempsey toured Everything is True  until early 2012 and has now commenced writing for the 6th Something for Kate album in Australia with bandmates, Stephanie & Clint.

Dave Graney played with the Moodists from 1978 to 1986. Then played with the White Buffaloes/Coral Snakes from 1987-1997. Then the Royal Dave Graney Show and Lurid Yellow Mist. This has now been refined/crushed into the band name Dave Graney and the mistLY.
His classic 90s albums with the Coral Snakes were re-released in  2013 as a 4 disc box set through Universal Music Australia.
His live band is the mistLY. Graney and drummer Clare Moore joined by Stuart Perera (guitar since 1998) and Stu Thomas (bass since 2004). dave graney and the mistLY. 
Dave has published two books and writes a monthly column for the Adelaide Review and has a weekly show on Melbourne’s Triple R

Four minds and different lives collided to form Melbourne band Royston Vasie.

The dynamism of their live performance veers between garage pop to shoegaze steeze built on walls of sound. Their trademark whip-smart lyrics are delivered atop jangly guitars, with themes of busy minds, social castes and relationships often explored. Songwriters Cam Mitchell and Leigh Hardingham's songs are honest, transparent and ambiguous just where they need to be.

Gaining critical and popular acclaim through first release Tanah Merah with lead single 'You Want It Now'  on high rotation at Triple J, 3RRR, Pbs, Fbi, RTR and 4ZZZ.
 
Their first two albums were released through erstwhile collaborator and temporary touring member Courtney Barnett's now defunct record label Milk! Records. Courtney's inimitable vocal elevating Cam Mitchell's storytelling via the open love letter to a friend on Easier (Tanah Merah LP).
 
The band have toured Australia and the U.S. with the likes of Spencer P Jones, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Courtney Barnett and Ben Kweller.
 
On Feb 15 2024, the band released the first single Creeping, from their fourth studio album Through The Canopies - out May 15
 
Off the back of the impending release, Royston Vasie are touring nationally in mid 2024

The Mark of Cain, based in Adelaide, Australia - has been described as one of the best and " most brutal bands around today." This talented outfit had it's beginnings in 1984 and have since released five main LP's plus numerous singles and EP's.

Rock band.Dave Graney (vox/gtr) and Clare Moore(drums/vibes/keys)  were in the Moodists-post punk Melbourne band.Then Dave Graney and the Coral Snakes. 

Graney and Moore have been involved in making of roughly 30 albums. Also about 7 digital releases, four or five albums as part of other peoples bands, several compilations, two solo albums from Clare Moore as well as her side projects The Dames and The Routines. Four feature film soundtracks. Dave Graney released a book about his music life in 2011, "1001 australian nights" and a more personal book (more focused on all the jobs the took to be a musician) in 2018 called WORKSHY. A second book of lyrics spanning the years 1980-2023 called THERE HE GOES WITH HIS EYE OUT came out in 2023. 
2024 sees an album come out on Classic Jewel case Compact Disc called (strangely)(emotional).
