When the world holds its breath under cold temperatures, ice flowers form filigree artworks on windows and other surfaces. Simultaneously, the name “ice flower” stands for a species of begonia that resists frost in a colourful way. In both phenomena, winter shows its subtle and melancholic beauty.

Chris Wayfarer’s new single “Ice Flowers” unfolds just the same way. Carefully, the bell-like sounds grope to the surface of the melodic house track. Little by little the synth arpeggio flourishes above the kicking drum work. When the pad spreads over at the track’s climax, the musical plant shines in full splendour – floating like a dream, melancholic in the bloom, but with a tough and powerful root system for the dance floor.

Somewhere between house and techno, Henning Rechenberg combines his experiences from more than 20 years of club culture into a firework of emotions. In his deep grooving and driving tracks, friends of cultivated electronic house music subtly rediscover the melodic roots of that house music sound. His tracks create a feeling in the head and under the skin, which goes beyond the pure animation through beats and drums. He focuses on a technoid and minimalistic basic structure, which allows the feelings in each of his tracks to come to life. He started DJing at the end of the 90's with the upcoming discohouse era, in a time where clubs replaced the big discotheques. In that age Henning Rechenberg developed his love for quality and sophisticated house music. His music is always in tune with the trending spirit of the times and soon the local clubs in Central Germany could no longer be imagined without him. As part of the project "Beatcuisine" with live singer followed bookings in clubs and festivals throughout Germany. Whether driving and festivating in clubs or subtle and stimulating in the background in bars, the audience are picked up and took with him by his music.

Rooted in drum ’n‘ bass and knowing every trick of the underground culture, Chris has recently set forth to the realms of deep house, tech house and electronica. He has created his own musical language, featuring at times a floating vibe, at times a punchy and energetic expression – always honest to himself and to the world, in a natural flow and with care to detail.

Whether in the studio or at the turntables, Chris Wayfarer fuses deep house and tech house with sampling from all kinds of electronic styles, jazz, funk and classical music to grow harmonious compositions.
