Sitting On Gold by Wayne W. Hacker was released on July 9th, 2025. Unlike most of his songs, which often take longer to develop, this one came together quickly. With guitar in hand, Wayne found that the lyrics and rhythm inspired each other, allowing him to complete the song in just two months. This rapid creative process led to a song that explores universal realization: sometimes, what we are searching for has been right in front of us all along. The song reflects the idea that time spent pursuing happiness can be more precious than gold itself. At its heart, Sitting On Gold offers an honest perspective of self-reflection.

Wayne W. Hacker hails from Washington State; he realized that the poems he was writing in his free time were in the form of song lyrics. Turns out writing lyrics on paper is simply not enough anymore. So here he is perfectly, imperfectly starting to introduce his work to anyone and everyone. “It’s All About Me” was the first single he released.
