Am 01.06.2018 ist es endlich soweit, unsere jährliche Label - Compilation "Different Faces" geht bereits in die vierte Runde.

Langjährige Begleiter unseres Labels, aber auch neu gewonnene Freunde aus Lübeck, Kiel, Hamburg, Bremen und Berlin haben vielseitige Tracks beigesteuert. Von Ambient über treibenden Techno bis hin zu verspulten Minimal, von House über Synthpop bis hin zu diskoiden oder auch melancholischen Slomo.

Damit läuten wir den Sommer nun endlich auch musikalisch ein und wünschen allen ein angenehmes Hörvergnügen.

In Ahab EP our storytellers Hülshoff and Rheinländer bring much more than just the typical songs. Drawing inspiration from different backgrounds, the duo bends traditional music genres into metaphor and storytelling through mystical melodies.

Among steadily added layers of sounds, the verses remain strictly instrumental with a diverse bass line, telling the story of our captain Ahab and his relentless pursuit of Moby Dick, the white whale that eventually ends his life. Steady on now, on the melodic sea, he never hesitates, on towards the rest of the story.

Melodic "pings" ring out like incessant memories in the mind of Captain Ahab, distracting his thought processes and interrupting his ability to function. The further development of the darker tones on this EP, calls us to imagine in more detail the terrific power of the beast over the man and become much more assimilated with the captain's obsession and the preoccupation of his mind.

Following him like his crew on the sea, industry colleagues are provided with excellent original material to work with. Alex Kaminski along with Metatext and Karhua, act as his crew on this EP, looking toward the captain of the ship, following him on this oceanic journey. In metaphor for the duo's talent and ability to influence and persuade with their music, they lead his loyal crew on a wild frenzy to conquer the nemesis, despite the warnings, and to his own deluded end.

Forevermore, AKASHA MX will be Wanduta's "symbolic and paraphysical” first home. Based on the Indian concept of space, the label stands for so much more than meets the eye. The Parisian's five-part debut, “Medicine Wheel,” certainly provides insight into his non-religious spirtuality. According to the indigenous peoples of ancient America, it's a metaphorical construct that supplies the keys to life. In Wanduta's eyes, what others see as God is gravity creating attraction amongst Earth’s four elements. In harmony with “Fuego,” “Agua,” “Tierra” and “Gravedad,” “Viento” makes an indelible mark in the ether.

"When music transcends borders, genres and worlds, eternity is just the beginning. The very first EP from the up and coming producer and live performing artist Katabtu includes two original mixes and three remixes and will be released on the 6th of June on LNDKHN. The title track "Eternity" delivers a deep and progressive punch coupled with atmospheric textures and dynamic synths to bring a wide range of musical enthusiasts the sound that evokes their emotions and moves their body. Menachem 26 is showing us in his remix how well world music and squirky acid house synths fit together and how it can create music where you just want to dance all night long. The well-known artist Dolph has turned the track on its head and brings a completely new interpretation to the table that, besides of being a great piece of music, is great to keep the vibe going on the dancefloor. The third remix by The Oddness from Australia is making it complete with those analog retro drums that are perfectly suited to get your body swinging and shaking. To finish it off, Katabtu delivers "Gloam", another original mix that shows that Downtempo/ Electronica music really has no creative limits. You can hear how a Grand Piano break in the middle and a fulminant synthesizer finale at the end can coexist with funk, swing and good old electronic beats."
