Danish artist Be Svendsen combines once more with the Crosstown Rebels crew, following on from his emphatic NU 'Man O To' remix, which landed in late February. The latest collaboration comes in the form of the new 'Twilight in Tankwa' EP, it comes with two original cuts as well as a remix from Berlin native Nico Stojan. Lasse Bruhn Svendsen ,as he's known to his friends and family, has been a proponent of refreshing electronic music since his emergence in 2014 and the work he started continues with yet another special record. The title track is a slow-winding groover that's coated with intricate melodic touches, while an engrossing atmosphere rotates around a punchy drum ensemble. "Moodfamily’s favourite four-piece returns home after many journeys.
Impatient, as we are, we had to hear their stories. Skillfully combining influences, sounds and experiences from east and west, they translated their stories to a new EP, oozing with drama, melancholy and determination.

The EP describes itself as the soundtrack for an adventure to mysterious outskirts around the globe, starting with 'Whale Parade'. This prelude brings you to a hidden land after wandering through forests for many months. Guitar, piano and percussion gently move in and carry you away. By the second track, All Day I Zama, a slow beat dictated by a banket of percussion evolves to a vigorous and groovy track with moaning vocals as the main theme.

In title track Gold Town, you will settle yourself in a covered wagon, heading for dodgy settlements on a misty mountain range, accompanied by a grieving trumpet.

As the wagon slows to a crawl, Ghajar emerges, a downtempo emotion-filled song, where the piano and a scorching synth interchange melodies and tales."

Sol Selectas final release of 2017 is a hypnotizing single from one of our favorites Be Svendsen out of Copenhagen. The 10 minute long journey called "Getula" twists and turns through beautiful instrumentation with cosmic arpeggios, soothing pads, tribal percussion, and gritty electric guitar. In the words of Be Svendsen the "Getula is the desert pirate, deceiving, tantalizing, venomous, and deadly. He retreats and awaits in silence before the hunt, a timeless play of both predator and prey". 
Sol Selectas family members KMLN add their signature psychedelic sound to their remix, and create a gorgeous voyage of minimal percussion, warm analog delays, and introspective moments of emotion. 
Helia Jamali's art is a mystical depiction of the Getula serpent, weaving its way around the lost desert, surrounding our minds and bodies with the musical energy.

I'm a 26-year-old producer and guitarist from the UK, influenced by Pink Floyd, Bonobo and everything in between. I love making long, mysterious songs that take you on a journey into your inner world. Outside of music, I like to meditate and listen to spiritual philosophy, and you’ll hear some of my favourite quotes from Alan Watts, Adyashanti, Mooji, and others woven into the tracks.

My debut album “Everywhere You Look” is my biggest project to date. It took around five years to complete, bringing together great musicians and my best ideas so far. The album flows as one continuous piece, ideal for ceremonial experiences, psychedelic therapy, meditation, or studying.

Spiritual exploration is at the heart of my music, and I hope you feel that reflected in the sound. I’d call it downtempo, ambient, or simply Waywell (which happens to be my second name).
