Døc is a musical project by Irish DJ and producer Darren Doherty. A well established name on the Irish clubbing scene, Døc’s first real experience of dance music happened after he snuck into a nightclub at the tender age of fifteen, instantly falling in love with the tunes, atmosphere and vibes, Doherty promised himself that one day he would return to the club, Privilege, Longford, as a DJ. He then devoted himself to achieving that goal and eventually enjoyed a very successful residency there.

With over twenty year’s worth of experience behind the decks, it’s safe to say that Døc is an artist who has truly mastered his craft. Based in Sligo, the home to clubbing in the the west of Ireland, Døc has been controlling crowds in the region with his genre hopping brand of deep, progressive and techy basslines for well over a decade, never failing to lift the energy in a room and create an atmosphere that keeps people coming back and begging for more. Having played in many of Ireland’s biggest and most popular venues, Døc has played a number of international shows, most notably at the Warehouse Project London, Sankeys Ibiza, Eden Ibiza and HI Ibiza, supporting the likes of Danny Howells, Clive Henry and Alex Arnout in the process.

Døc is also an extremely accomplished producer, having been making his own original productions for the last eight year. He has a string of successful releases behind him, both as part of the Døc project and under other aliases. He has had a number of tracks signed to Suro Recordings including his collaboration with Marc de Pulse on the track Birthing Star, released in September 2017. Døc’s music has received support from some real heavy hitters in the industry, including Nick Warren, one of the world’s best known progressive DJs.

Døc currently holds a number of local and international residencies, including slots at Spiral Tree, Longford and appearances with Circle Experience in London and Ibiza. He also often plays guest slots with some of Ireland’s leading club brands in venues up and down the country. With a regular podcast series, Døc-Cast and Døc's Picks, which now has over twenty episodes, it is evident that Doherty is one of the hardest working DJs currently on the Irish scene, and one that is set to be here for many years to come.

@almalive  carefully crafted tracks with heartwarming spaces and emotional hooks all carrying a very distinctive sound signature - a message far beyond the dance foor. They blend both the electronic and the acoustic world to ALMA's very own sound universe. 

Right from the beginning, both musicians concentrated on the crucial idea of performing their music as a live act. Therefore, all songs are tailored to the demands of a clubby environment during live performances whilst simultaneously delivering a very special emotional and melancholic pleasure. 

Moreover, they felt a special connection with visual art right from the start, which leads to their show as a concept of both musical and visual art. This journey took them from a continuous crossover between studio and performance to their current approach where they perform their music in the format of a 1-2 hour live act. 

The young project already gained international attention, their first release “Intuition” on the Berlin based imprint Keller was supported by KORA's Podcast for Anjunadeep. After various tracks in the Beatport Top 100 Releases and EPs e.g. on Oliver Schories' SoSo, Radikon or Songspire Records that were supported by artists like Innellea, Mira, Marius Drescher, Nick Warren, Madmotormiquel, Betoko or Jonas Saalbach, ALMA is already living a lasting footprint on the scene. With Swiss label Definition:Music both have found a home for their music leading to their first vinyl release that got featured in the Spotify Electronic Rising Playlist. Playing at ADE last year at Adam Tower was definitely one of their previous highlights.

Severin Su, Austrian based producer and DJ, reflects a transdisciplinary approach in his career based on his versatile background and collaborative curiosity. He began his career with a classic music education at a music school in his birthplace in Bosnia. His latest work has led him to sound design projects creating atmospheric sound impressions in the architectural space through collaboration with merging design offices such as INNOCAD and 13&9 for the Architecture Biennale in Venice.

After many years of experimenting with different electronic music genres, Severin started to release his own music in 2016 on various labels such as "Be One Records" and "Exotic Refreshment". His EPs quickly climbed the charts and were supported by many big names from the music industry and radio.

Severin's sound is one of its kind. He keeps you moving on the dancefloor with bombastic techno beats and agressive synths and then takes you into other speres with levitating pads and synth sounds.

What do you do to get into a creative state?
"My creative state depends on the mood. I can not force myself to come up with something creative, so mostly I just try out some things and when it works, I try to get as much as possible out of this workflow."

Where do you draw your inspiration from?
"I get the most inspiration from my favorite artists and the style of their music. Also, I try to express memories and emotions into my music, which also influences the result."

What do you love most about being an artist?
"Getting to know people from all over the world with the same passion for music. It makes me connect with other people on a different level. Getting input and feedback from all kinds of different cultures is so interesting to me. That’s why I try to spread my music to labels from different countries."

Do you have a morning routine?
"Most of the times the basic stuff. Drinking a coffee with my breakfast and taking a shower after that. Except after going out, then I prefer to sleep the whole day."

What, for you, is the purpose of art?
"To make something that you like and to express the feelings that you want. People who feel the same way can then connect with it very easily."

What makes you laugh?
"The Worst Techno Memes Ever Group Page."
