We Like That is a Pop Duo from Baltimore, Maryland & Atlanta, Georgia. Made up of frontman Matt Talley and multi-instrumentalist Ryan Love, (formerly of Aster and Ivy) We Like That’s formation has been over ten years in the making.

Both Talley and Love have been playing in, touring with, and writing music for acts of differing genres for the last ten years - often coming back to their friendship to support each other’s projects, assist with writing critiques, and to join each other on stage when the moment called for it.

After years of writing, dozens of demos and song ideas, different band names and members, Talley and Love have landed on what they believe is not just their sound as a group, but their goal and mission as musicians/writers.

“We want to write songs that provide camaraderie in universal pain, and that celebrate the uniqueness of individual joy.”
 “Pain is universal,” Talley explains. “We all experience it. And more often than not, the same painful experiences we’ve been through are the same ones others are going through, but joy? Joy is the opposite. It’s unique. And the things that bring us joy as individuals are so rare and so special that when we share them with others, we invite them to partake in that rarity, that uniqueness.” 
We Like That’s debut single “Shows” released everywhere in October of 2020 and was followed up with a surprise holiday fan favorite "Home For Christmas" and the band is currently working on new music
