Al Bears' main genre of music is house with sub genres deep, organic, afro and balearic. He grew up in south London in the seventies and eighties, always around music and it was in the late eighties and early 90s with the emergence of house music being played in the uk at parties and in clubs that got him into DJing playing vinyl at underground parties, bars/clubs and on pirate radio. He made the progresssion from playing to producing tracks, and remixing others with a few bootlegs thrown in! Unfortunately he stopped producing due to ill health, but after a break of 12 years since April 2024 he has been working with Key Changes Music, where he regained the motivation to start writing new tracks again. He still dj's with a weekly radio show posting recordings of his shows on mixcloud (Link below bio). He is hoping to keep producing now, as being on the Keychanges Programme has improved his mental health and his tracks will appear here once released!
