The debut release on brand new imprint we_ctrl features solo tracks and a collaboration from
Manchester duo and label founders Tomson & Benedict.

Having worked together for a little less than 5 years, the pair embrace their similarities and
distinctions to great effect. Tomson with his trippy garage DNA and Benedict with his chuggy, tracky
chord led constitution, blend together into the kind of house, garage and techno they are known for.

The A side is the collaboration. 'Switch' is a straight forward slab of solid house music which builds
and builds on a simple groove to a peak of splashy rides, hypnotic melodies and sternum punching
bass.

The B side is where the Tomson & Benedict DNA code is split into their own solo cuts.
Benedict's 'Automatism', is full of warm sounds applied in the aggressive fashion, so endemic
through his solo productions. Tomson's 'Time for Change' features straight up solid lows and game
changing dancing highs with classic house chords throughout. This is the journey track if there ever
was one.

The wait will not be too long for the next instalment either. Solo EP's from the two will feature
before the autumn end featuring remixes from their favourites of the moment, Fulbert and Medlar.

WECTRL001 Benedict - Automatism

R. Róbert aka Rigodon, started mixing back in 2005 a variety of electronic music. On the wide spectrum, he finally settled for breaks and drum and bass, which was and is an evolving local scene. Growing exponentially with the scene, Rigodon quickly became emerged in it, playing gigs together with DJ Fleet who shared his passion for records. In 2008, he joined the Playground Crew, which was groomed with fellow DJs and producers Mozer and Ruffie, founded on the harmony of underground vibes. After spinning on nubreaks.com and on his online radio, aurora fm, Rigodon grew into a valuable influence of the local scene. Pumping plenty of parties, to the broken-beat of breaks, his sets are an experience to be felt, rooted in the golden era of Csíkszereda.
