Tony H and Swavé follows up the success "She Moves The World" with a full-scale remix EP on Desert Hearts Records! They have invited some of their favourite artists to do their own interpretations of this energetic tune, and the result is 3 different four-to-the-floor, dance floor oriented tunes. First up, Franklyn Watts moves us smoothly in a housy direction. Catchy drum work meets dreamy vocals and sweeping chords, excellently showcasing the style Franklyn is so loved for. 

Mary Droppinz does what Mary does best. A fierce and driving rework takes the stage, building some proper momentum before deep diving into the breaky groove. Last but not least, Thomas Garcia serves us a bouncing remix with a lot of cheeky attitude. His techy style shines as he creates a soundscape that beautifully works around the elements of the original, blending them with his own, characteristic sounds. This release is an excellent showcase of some of the most exciting artists in the electronic music scene at the moment, each serving their very own sound of "She Moves The World".

Progressive house gurus Roddy Reynaert and Phi Phi return to Bonzai with the sublime two track EP entitled Tempora. This formidable duo have been churning out some serious beats over the last number of years and their last Bonzai Progressive outing - Aokighara - proved popular among many due to its squelching acid appeal and deep progressive grooves. A wealth of experience and creativity was the catalyst for these two striking up a solid partnership which has resulted in several quality cuts. Phi Phi is certainly doing the rounds and spreading his vast knowledge of all things electronic music. He's involved with other collaborations as well as solo works and he remains a much sought after DJ, particularly for retro events. Roddy also thrives as a soloist, his tracks are supported around the world and his unique blend between progressive and house is very much revered. It's always an exciting time when these guys get together and we're sure there'll be much more to come, so stay tuned.

First up we have the gnarly progressive vibes of Tempora which intros with a lush bassy tone consisting of chunky kick drums and a rumbling bassline alongside a superb teasing acid line on the offset. Shuffling hit hats and tight percussions provide a steady rhythmic flow to the track as those basses begin to intensify. The track winds up slowly into a frenzied and electrified groove that will surely have the floors rocking. On the break the synths raise the intensity levels even more before those solid beats return for the duration. Another top notch slice from this unstoppable duo.

Cirao intros with a very nice moving bass that sits under a muted kick drum while various percussions form up to get the rhythm moving. Mesmeric synths rise up and join a series of cool sounds and FX that give the track a lot of depth and texture. The kicks are beefed up to pumping status and the progressive vibes start to ooze out the track. Cascading arpeggios deliver a subtle melodic vein and on the break we're treated to a very nice pad sequence before the track kicks back in to full on mode. Superb stuff that is not to be missed.

Musical genius Airwave is on point as usual with our next Bonzai Progressive release - The Unfinished. Two beautifully crafted driving trance gems full of energy, soaring synths and pumping beats. His last outing here was his superb breaks re-work of the classic Blue Alphabet - Cybertrance, as part of our 25 years celebration which this guy has been a huge part of. With a career spanning over 20 years, Airwave remains consistent in the quality department with a seemingly never-ending creative streak. For the last number of years he's been on something of a world tour having taken to the decks at various locations on almost all the continents bar the Antarctic (although if there is ever a club or festival, he'll be at it). You can catch him in action at several upcoming gigs including Legacy Festival and the much anticipated 25 Years Bonzai party in November this year.

The Unfinished sets out with a real punchy kick drum to the backdrop of some fantastic FX and pads while a deep bass lurks on the low end, ready to pounce. Even at this early stage we witness a thunderous, driving trance groove that forces us to move with its infectious rhythm. Perfectly tweaked gated synths begin to rise as euphoria sets in and the melodies start to evolve locking us into its hypnotic clutches. A truly tangible atmosphere engulfs the sound thanks to those intense synths. Another masterpiece from the master, a definite must have in your arsenal.

City Of The Iris intros with a nice and chunky pounding kick drum that is accompanied by a myriad of percussions that form into a rhythmic pattern. Rich pads fade in delivering the seed that will grow into a spectacular display of trance music composition. A solid, chugging bassline soon dominates that throws the track into a full on stomper while the hairs on the back of your neck literally jump to attention thanks to a mesmeric arpeggio synth and beautiful voices. The break is something otherworldly, the sweetest of melodies combine before abruptly dissipating leaving us with a wonderful classic Airwave style synth pattern that will get the nostalgia juices flowing. An instant classic here that will rank right up there as some of Laurent's best ever work. Outstanding.

History learns people have always seen us as ambassadors of quality electronic music regardless the genres we touch. Over the years music has evolved, so did our musical taste, a combination which is pushing us to think more forward.

In order to focus on what we really want to do and giving artists what they deserve, it's become necessary to discontinue some of our labels. Most of these labels are part of that trance scene which we helped develop in the early 90's. The trance scene of today does not fit our vision, so we will fully focus our 3 remaining trance labels (Subtraxx, Camouflage & Nemesis) on quality progressive trance.

You will wonder now what we really want to focus on, well deep progressive, mini tech, tech house and real progressive house as we have been doing in our own way over the past year on Bonzai Progressive, Bonzai Basiks, ...
