Miika Kuisma is a finnish musician, artist, philosopher, futurist and inventor who's passion is to understand fundamental nature of the reality by exploring spirituality, science, history and technology.

In early 90′s he got big revelation in a small house club and walked out as a new person. From that moment he knew dance music was 'for him'. His first electronic records which influenced him the most include works by Jarre, Cosmic Baby, Moby, Prodigy, Faithless and early Eye-Q releases. After falling in love with so many electronic styles by now, also his own productions have become somewhat unpredictable.

His tracks are usually somewhere between progressive and melodic, while not being not 'too deep' or 'too cheesy'. On the DJ'ing side Miika was known for his perfectionistic approach to build his sets in certain way. Especially his "Intelligent Design" radio mixes were trips across different moods and genres.
Miika has spent most of his life playing around with technical gear but also loved to draw and play instruments from very early age. After getting his degree in electricity he turned around and took career paths in graphic design, programming, animation and user-interface design.

Besides music production and performances he played key role in the concept and interface-design with EKS in the development of the MIDI controller EKS Otus. He played his last DJ gig in April of 2009, sold his record label "Subtraxx Recordings" for Bonzai Music and relocated into South-East Asia. Currently he is involved in designing new types of creative applications, media formats and business models.

Drawing inspiration from her first worldwide tour, where life on the road was impacted by personal loss, the album title 'In a Pink Bubble' captures the essence of the artist’s mindset, caught in between the artistic world and real life: “I felt like in a pink bubble, between memories and new experiences, between darkness and colours”. Brandishing an immersive sonic sphere, the classically trained musician played and recorded all instruments throughout the album, including her favourite weapons of choice, from her beloved 60’s guitar to vintage analog synths like the Moog Sub37, Juno 106, the infamous O-B-6 synth and more.

The synesthesia of dark and colourful with new and old memories stands at the core of the album, as introspective airy tracks intertwine with more dynamic, bass-heavy constructions.

On its luminous side, we see cuts radiating with crystalline, microscoping sounds with sweeping ambience like the opener 'A Perfect Day in Tulum', leading the listener on a nervous path towards more obscure tracks such as 'Copenhagen' and 'Nothing to Lose', until bringing the atmosphere to a boiling point. 'Music is Life' encapsulates Giorgia’s passion for her craft, an intrinsic part of her life that brings peace and inspiration: “Music is life with wings, sit in the warm water, just reflecting, being”. Creation and being inspired represent another major theme present throughout the album, both in the eponymous track Inspiration, as well as 'A Temple Made by Air', where the artist can be heard singing: “Passion means satisfaction, wrong emotions create distortion, come with me to enjoy the green, stop losing time on your screen”. Channelling an overflow of emotions, a return to humanity comes as a resolution for the artist, the central idea in 'The Contact is a Cure'. Giorgia feels that, although useful, “technology is the big nightmare of our society, and we are all missing the contact with nature and human beings”. Rounding off the last part of the release, the sun-drenched Pink Bubble stands as reflective and intense, managing to transfuse the same magnetism that is quintessential to Giorgia’s live performances.

With 'In a Pink Bubble', Giorgia Angiuli refines her signature sound across a range of tempos, in a project that can be appreciated both for its intricate groundings and beautiful simplicity.

We continue our journey at PHW Elements as we today bring on another milestone on the label with the 250th release inside the label. We are of course truly happy and honoured to do it with a line up that has been with us frequently on the label for years. With one of the most hard working guys on the genre, Ricardo Piedra, we surely sit on an original that oozes class, energy and all that progressive goodness that we so often see from this ever growing artist. Through “The Angels Are With Us” we see another energetic masterpiece from this truly gifted producer. We are always happy to see him back on the label, making a statement through his music, it’s ace!

To spice things a bot more, we see Hungarian progressive veteran Kay-D making his way back to the label to create his vision of this track. With a string of release on pretty much every major label in the business, we are sure that if you have followed the scene of the years, you all know everything about his skills and music. As always he blends great energetic elements with all the creativity in harmonies that he’s got. Kay-D is back with another screamer!

Last but definitely not least we see another return on the label, this time from Italian ace Christian Monique. Being a producer, full of inspiration and always a melody in mind, he once more join us on PHW Elements to deliver another superb rework. With a great way of showing lush and emotional elements with more driving and energetic, he do what he always does, creative melodic progressive with a deeper touch.

History learns people have always seen us as ambassadors of quality electronic music regardless the genres we touch. Over the years music has evolved, so did our musical taste, a combination which is pushing us to think more forward.

In order to focus on what we really want to do and giving artists what they deserve, it's become necessary to discontinue some of our labels. Most of these labels are part of that trance scene which we helped develop in the early 90's. The trance scene of today does not fit our vision, so we will fully focus our 3 remaining trance labels (Subtraxx, Camouflage & Nemesis) on quality progressive trance.
