We started “Simple” in Los Angeles, California together with Fiction and RyU. 

We layed down a basic beat and started writing to it. 
Fiction recorded some really nice vocals and we knew it would be something special. 

A few weeks later in Bali, Indonesia we booked a studio session to work on the track some more. Bali really inspired us with new sounds, and we wanted to incorporate those sounds in the drop of “Simple”. 

We think this track is a perfect mix between the raw LA vibes, our hiphop roots and the ethnic sounds of Bali.

In November 2018 we booked a three day studio session with our very talented friend Seann Bowe. We locked ourselves into our studio in Van Nuys, California and started vibing.

After listening to a few of our beats Seann decided that he wanted to start the session from scratch, and we started working on what later was going to turn into "Yellow Brick Road".

The simplicity of the beat allowed for Seann to come up with some really amazing lyrics and mesmerizing melodies. 
"Yellow Brick Road" stands for the road to succes and happines, and we love to bring all of you along on our journey to just that.

After working on "Simple" together with RyU and Fiction it was only right to do a new studio session with them.
We met at a diner in North Hollywood, California and after eating some really yummy food we felt inspired and drove to the studio.

RyU had a cool melody in his head and after he layed it down we started working on the sound.
We felt like it needed to be a soft plucky sound to make space for Fiction's vocals.

Fiction started writing right away and he wrote this amazing song about a guy who gets his heart broken many times by his girlfriend, but he keeps going back to her.

After returning back home to the Netherlands Buju and I locked ourselves into the studio and worked on the production.
To complement the story we made the instrumental build up all the way to the end of the track and concluded the story with a very vibey drop. The track has a 3-phased build up which is unconventional, but we really love how it accentuates the story here. The whole production including the vocal recordings took less than a day, it felt right from start to finish.

Hailing from the lowlands of Rotterdam, now often residing in Los Angeles, meet the Dutch producer & DJ duo FANNYPACK. Their pioneering style is pushing boundaries, after the 1st release on Spinnin’ Records, their 2nd release “Simple” dropped on the Strange Fruits label reaching 100k Spotify streams in the first week. It’s clear the duo is making waves with their catchy productions. While the duo officially started FANNYPACK in 2018, they are no strangers in the music industry. Although they love producing, "live shows have always been our biggest passion”, proclaims the duo. Tom and Buju are renowned for their energetic live performances, with shows at events like Miami Music Week under their belt you can rest assured they’ll return to the stage.
