Exciting new production outfit Customer makes their EP debut on mobilee, as the collaborative project of childhood friends Alan Fitzpatrick and Reset Robot takes flight.

Both heavyhitters in their own right, Fitzpatrick is one of the scene’s leading techno artists; a behemoth on Drumcode, along with being the latest artist to be tapped to mix fabric’s esteemed compilation series, while Reset Robot (AKA Dave Robertson) remains one of the scene’s most outstanding production assets, co-producing and engineering many of Drumcode’s biggest tracks, together with being a regular on Truesoul.

Together, they wanted to try something different, however. The latest artists to join Anja Schneider’s mobilee – a label renowned for giving its artists creative breadth – Customer showcases the duo in a different light to the big room, main stage personas the pair has built up over decade long careers. 

Their manifesto is to explore the deeper, more atmospheric corners of house and techno and across two exquisite cuts on their mobilee debut, the pair’s intentions are realised. ‘Thirteen’ is lilting and beautiful, almost shoegazy if you discount its driving dancefloor appeal. No wonder it was a favourite of Schneider’s from the moment she first heard a freshly mastered demo last August. ‘Magic Number’ is seven minutes of delicious melodic funk; lush yet unassuming and the kind of track you could imagine soundtracking one of those superb morning set moments where the dancefloor is weepy for all the right reasons. 

The release of ‘Thirteen’ marks an auspicious month for Customer, who’ll make their mobilee gig debut at the crew’s Fact Music Pool series event on June 16 during Off Week in Barcelona.

Following on from the success of their 'Home' remix for label owners Icarus, Humans & Machines return with two stunning underground cuts for Fly Boy Records.

The lead track 'Push' is a slick, brooding piece with punchy chord stabs breaking the enveloping atmospheres. Punctuated with a solid house drum groove, precise percussion and a glorious low end, this is true peak time bliss!

Nothing Else Matters is a little more sinister, to say the least. A classic techno weapon at it's finest. This one just works!

@25places releasing their debut album “Transport” on their own Rotterdam-based label Late Night Running. It contains 25 tracks exploring a variety of sounds.

After a series of EPs released over the course of a few years on labels such as DirtCrew, Balance, Traveller…. we liked the idea of bringing out an album and this way making a return on our own label. A great opportunity for us to showcase more of ourselves as producers to contribute to a scene we love.

With the album, we want to represent a mixture of sounds coming from the early days of house music to more contemporary sounds of today. It’s a recollection of both worlds and a tribute to what inspired us to create. Most of the tracks are made with club culture in mind, but they’re there to be played in any context.

Staying true to our sound with tracks like Memory Palace and Feelings we explored more nostalgic moods with After Dark and Spring Action to name a few.

It was a great journey finalising the album and we hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed creating it.
