After graduating in 2001, Obie moved to the UK where he has performed at some of its top nightclubs and events including Ministry of Sound and Cargo. 

His debut release with Phobic records got playtime and support from some the the worlds top artists such as Moodymanc, Chris Lattner and Dubfire. 

A track from his debut EP 'Tribute To Amos' was included on the IBIZA UNDERGROUND 2011 Compilation & TOM POOKS's Compilation...

He is also the co owner at loose pants, an initiative bringing quality artists to SA amongst other countries. 

Latest gigs : half full : northampton, re hab, warehouse-london, 7% records (Ireland) ,

His next release is due 2013-14.

Really pleased to announce this vinyl only podcast from Adam Mclean, founder of Descend Coventry, he has been Djing since back in 2004 and is continuing to leaned towards the more minimal spectrum of the sound. He has played at a variety of venues across UK and the globe along side some respectable names in the industry. Adam has started his own project Descend with the aim to bring the minimal sound to the Midlands.
Not an owner of records shop but a great collector of over 700 records.

Obie Obester has been a main part in Brightons Minimal Scene for the last 5 years playing for parties including Alter Hour and Be Avent Garde. 
We have invited him down to our Winter Closing party at The Tempest Inn on the 28th of March.

Minimo Podcast - Obester (Feburary)

Martin Hallak begins his performance patiently with a pure minimalism spirit and deep hypnotic grooves. The selection is delighting with its recurrent accents of hip-hop vocals in between more abstract stories. This warm-up slowly but surely builds up and develop towards peak time minimal bangers in the second part of the set. Once you get there, you’re off to dance and get lost with high energy, yet sophisticated rolling tracks. Percussion satellites intensify over indistinct murmurs, rich grooves and abstract tones, carefully mixed until the very end.
This set is an open letter to start the year dancing, with its non-linear ascending progression and characteristic powerful psychedelic mood.
