MiZi MuZiK kicks off its catalog with a smashing all-female extravaganza. For MiZi TaPeS 001, Mira and Mila Stern present a floor-focused four-tracker comprising exclusively of collaborations with some of their closest friends: MANTi, Britta Arnold, and Niki Sadeki. Join us for a synth-heavy soirée
driven by a love for dancefloor hypnotism in all its iterations. 

Mira and LA-based DJ and producer MANTi open MiZi’s discography with a radiant orchestra of swirling, bending, and arcing sawtooth chords. ‘Distance’ bridges the gap between their aesthetics, beautifully reimagining MANTi’s morphing melodics in the framework of Mira’s groovy, slow-burning
hypnotism. 

On ‘Refract Glow,’ Mila Stern and New York-based DJ and producer Niki Sadeki fuse Niki’s dreamy, glinting Electronica with Mila’s biting edge. Their collaboration emerges darkly anthemic, with powerful, compact drum structures and pitch-bent salvos of incandescent synths that cut through the rolling gloom like blinding rays of light across a darkening sky.

‘Cotton Brain’ conjures its namesake state of enveloping dancefloor abandon. A stripped and shoegazy groove, smatterings of whiplash drum hits, and an eerie field of spaced-out arps pulse across a quivering atmospheric void. With ‘Cotton Brain,’ Mira and Kater resident Britta Arnold strip away distractions until all that remains is a shuddering core of pure dancefloor energy. 

Finally, Mila Stern and Mira artfully channel their ephemeral overlap into a dark, expansive, and compellingly catchy collaboration. Set to a rumbling beat, blippy percussion, and growling fields of saws, ‘The Ghost Between Us’ gradually builds and morphs, erupting into mangled sweeps and biting synth figures that infuse its shadowy mesmerism with powerful, spaced-out funkiness. 

MiZi TaPeS 001 brings together five unique aesthetics to deliver four iterations of the sounds closest to our hearts with some of the people we most admire. Join us as we embark to shine a light on the sounds we love, no matter how big or small.

I was deeply inspired by the original version, and I wanted to keep its soul while giving it a new electronic vision. I also had the privilege of adding Louise Charbonnel’s vocals from her magical performance on The Voice 2019, which added a whole new layer of emotion to the remix. It’s something I’ve poured my heart into, and I can’t wait for you to hear it.

HAUMS announces second album Squaring the Circle, out April 25 on Quantum Feels

American innovator HAUMS returns with Squaring the Circle, his second full-length album, releasing April 25, 2025, on his own Quantum Feels imprint. Across eight expansive tracks, HAUMS invites listeners into a cinematic and deeply spiritual journey through melodic house—one that explores the eternal dance between the finite and infinite, the human and the divine.

Guided by a belief in the transformative power of music, HAUMS creates sound as ceremony—each track designed to awaken the body, stir the soul, and open portals of possibility. His productions are known for their emotional depth, majestic synthscapes, and hypnotic grooves, earning him 16 Beatport Top 100 placements and support from icons like Tiësto, Nora En Pure, and Vintage Culture.

The album opens with “Lost On Mars”, a soaring voyage through cosmic textures and crisp, slinky drums, before the powerful “Awake Me (Club Mix)” delivers a wave of cathartic energy through pulsing rhythms and transcendent vocals. “Resist and It Persists (Club Mix)” shifts the mood with driving percussion and darker, introspective tones, while “Power of Love” seduces with whispers and a rolling, hypnotic bassline.

“Reality”—featuring an evocative Alan Watts vocal—offers a moment of reflective stillness, as melancholic pads blur the lines between sound and silence. “Steps” then lifts the energy with luminous melodies and hopeful progressions, leading into the cinematic tension of “Into The Quantum”, a track that fuses drama and devotion through its undulating bass and ethereal atmosphere. John Johnson’s ICONYC imprint steps left of centre for its latest offering and unveils a new collaborative project by the name of Paperheart. Chris Boshell and Aidan Kelly make up this intriguing new act which looks to showcase the finest in electronica. Irish artist Chris Boshell is perhaps best known for being one half of the ICONYC act Phraktal while also operating his own Bakroom imprint. Also, of Irish descent, photographer Aidan Kelly is famed for his many exhibits, most notably ‘This Place’ which is based on love notes to Dublin City. Together the duo has crafted an exquisite self-titled sound story which once again showcases ICONYC’s highly curated, borderless music policy. 

A few times a year an artist showcase comes along which touches the hearts and minds of electronic music lovers. One where traditional genre barriers are broken and a captivating journey unfolds. Where followers of different stylistic blueprints unite in a celebration of sound.  In a tale told over five acts Paperheart’s self-titled debut is one such release. 

‘It’s A Feeling’ sets the mood nicely with bassy analog rumblings sitting in stark contrast to a heartfelt melodic narrative. Timeless and contemplative, the main theme proves most captivating during a spacious second act, slowly melting down into slo-mo euphoria before perfectly segueing into the broken beats and meandering melancholia of ‘Cycle Time’. Transcendent tones and shifting noise sit on a bed of quirky acid before an expansive break seals it’s enduring appeal. 

It more than whet's the appetite for the transitional piece 'Normalcy Bias’. Ghostly vocal elements quickly burrow into your subconscious while an astral top line and bed of decayed sonics set the perfect backdrop for this four-minute excursion. The fourth piece ‘Inner City Magnetic’ begins with breathy loops, dulcet beats and mounds of swollen bass. Evolving beautifully, the piece strips down to warm pulses before frayed percussion and vocal spirals summon a storyboard of sci-fi effects and icy pads. 

Rounding out the release is ‘Back at Work’ where radio transmissions and transpo rumblings set a contemplative tone. Perhaps the perfect piece to reflect back on the collection; an audio travelogue for the ages, one where eloquent themes are immediately compelling and capture a timeless elegance not easily conveyed through electronics.
