Combining a host of established and emerging talents under a seasonal banner, the "Winter Particles 2019" compilation once again showcases the wealth of global talent found in the underground dance arena. Eleven tracks now represent the very best in progressive and melodic house and techno.

Opening the winter selection box, Greek sensation, Savvas, reminds listeners of his attention to detail and melodic prowess through "Mindfulness", while dub.format and Pedro Capelossi and NOIYSE PROJECT hit the ground running with impressive low-end theory as "Mentalist" and "Myth in Manus" combine huge bass prowess with delicate melodic touch.

German star, Wisqo demonstrates why he has been such a hit with the likes of Lump Music and Pipe and Pochet with the elegantly crafted "Limitless" before Kynan Cosma takes a break from his new Sense of Mind moniker to carve out a rasping bass gem and Moog inspired melody in "Sequent" that Bodzin himself would be proud of. Notable for its middle eastern vocal flourishes, E.F.G. then combines a strong rhythmic backdrop and sumptuous chord progressions in "Days and Nights".

Veteran, Rick Pier O'Neil, rarely disappoints and "Shining" is no exception to an ever-growing catalogue of prized jewels, with its dynamic energy, bass prowess and sparkling lead motif keeping the French artist firmly on point. Bosnian, Youngen, immediately impresses with the exquisitely crafted and emotive "Atlantis" that explodes into a chorus of counterpoint motifs.

Argentina's very own Nicholas Van Orton continues his distinctive groove-laden approach to his craft through "Siete Dioses" as haunting melodies and guitar phrasing play a central role in a mesmerising track. Colombian Dabeat departs from fellow countryman and regular collaborator, Kamilo Sanclemente, to shine brightly on a solo outing, "Beyond the Stars", as gated synths and stepped arpeggio present a strong representation of the title and pitched and warped melodies bend space and time. Continuing the outer space theme, Neptun 505 closes the compilation with a shimmering affair that finds a twinkling lead motif illuminating the "Light of a Non-Existent Star" in an iridescent glow, backed by dominant beat, richly textured pads and ticking percussion.

Eleven tracks brightly lit in winter sun gives Particles a crisp, clean edge for its early 2019 collection.

ICONYC is delighted to welcome Dekkai with their brand-new 'Paradox EP' to the label. The talented producer duo has been a well-known entity within the scene and have graced some of the world's finest electronic music labels with their unique and lasting productions. 

On their debut Dekkai lead with the outstanding opening title track 'Paradox; a stunning driving melodic progressive house affair. The track utilizes a deep groove as foundation, underpinned by a profound bass and smooth synth chords that gradually ease their way to the summit. Unified by a relentless kick drum and dusky atmospheric emotion, the composition climaxes by adding recurrent percussive elements and soft soaked melodies that come together to create a structured sphere of sonic satisfaction. Clever synth phrases complete the picture and create an ingeniously worked piece of art.

The darker soundscapes of the accompanying title track 'Temple of the Snake' round off this spectacular release. Dekkai's influences are immediately evident as subtle freeform concepts drift through percussive inspired instrumentations. Rippling melodies trip along a deep kick that anchors an auricular montage to create a special sonic infused moment, accompanied by a subtle chord line that is going to leave a mark on your aural perception. Essential stuff!

Dekkai have developed a unique style which endeared them to us; having establishing their credentials as masters of their craft. With their debut outing on ICONYC, Dekkai take their talents a step further to round off this brilliant underground 2 track crowd pleaser. Making a welcome return to ICONYC is our favorite Greek maestro Ziger with 'Control'. Ziger who needs no introduction returns for his 4th outing on the label. He brings it together for an extraordinary release that shows a startling amount of potential.

To start us off Ziger drops the original version of 'Control'. A track full of rhythmic beeps and expansive synth stabs that create a driving rhythm before the atmospheric pads create a beautiful setting, which fires with all guns blazing to produce a club monster that growls. Combining the best of both worlds, Ziger has come up with something unique and distinctive to make this release extra special while applying an extra dose of groove and warmth to this incredible tune. 'Control' stands for a fool proof and state-of-the-art piece of music, which will readily make you, take note and amaze in equal measures. 

On remix duty we welcome French duo ABSTRAAL to the label for their debut. ABSTRAAL who know a thing or two when it comes to mind blowing reworks, turn their mix into an irresistible track using the original elements with perfection. They layer more melodies and effects, whilst upping the flow with cleverly programmed tech percussion and their trademark FX elements, without destroying the essence of the original. Their rework deserves to be branded 'essential' in any sense of the word. 

Ziger's 'Control' is an accomplished piece of work that highlights, that the is a true master of his craft. Massive stuff that is not to be missed!

'Atlantida' is the brand-new throbbing club burner from 'Two Sins'. Whether it's the deeply delicious uplifting melodies and dramatic strings of 'Atlantida', there can be no denying that the Two Sins is on a roll. His distinctive style and attention to detail marks him out, as having unique creative talent. For the full-length release, we are treated to stunning reworks from non-other than Marius Drescher & Schwarzmatt. 

We kick things off with original track, which brings a fusion of deep bass tones, subtle drum programming and cleverly chopped samples and intricately weaved chord progressions, building to a beautiful breakdown before gradually rebuilding the elements to an unrelenting crescendo of breathy drum licks, chord stabs and an ever-warped bassline to close out this massive production. Cool stuff!

First up on remix duty we see the debut of Berlin maestro Marius Drescher on ICONYC. He delivers a blissful sound journey, oozing of coolness, accentuated by warm pads that feel like a silky blanket of sonic spheres, which wrap you into an alluring soundscape without losing the energy of the original. This excellent rework firmly proves Marius's superb production chops and diverse musical tapestry, if prove was ever needed. Absolute massive remix from Marius Drescher that should not be missed! 

The second remix comes from Swiss production combo Schwarzmatt whose releases have been doing the business on the dance floors of the world. Their remix flows with ease from the instant it starts, encapsulating a wealth of cool beats which are present throughout, as well as driving sounds that are met with a big low end creating a timeless bubbler that will make you move. Schwarzmatt have taken the essence of the original and wrapped it in a blanket of progressive grooves to cause havoc with your senses.
