"For Mind Your Head, I worked on some of it using Red Bull Studio in LA, using their Roland’s System 8, JD-XA, and Gaia, Novation Bass Station II, as well as their vocal booth. I’ve been working on this music for a few years now and it was Prince Will who encouraged me to take these tracks and construct an album. At times it was a raw and emotional process for me. I really wanted to capture the feelings that I felt as a kid in LA at the rave.

The album is really a process from start to finish. It takes you on a journey. The opening track, “The Sound”, is when you meet up with your friends to figure out which rave you will attend that night. The next tune, “Tune In, Turn On”, represents getting to the spot and dropping your ecstasy. As it kicks in, you go “Deeper!” and just totally fuck off and begin your trip with “Get A Life (Fuck Off)” – now you know you are feeling it! From “Shakedown” to “Take This Trip” you are just peaking and dancing your face off! Then as the sun peaks the first rays of light, you pile into a car for a surreal sunrise to “Omega High”. You’re exhausted but also light and bright -“It’s just another sunny day…” chants as you smile, knowing these are the best days of your life.

The album is a tribute to a special place in time. A time I hope we can get back to. A time where we can all dance together in harmony."

PREMIERE: Lazarus - There Is No Meaning [Of Paradise]

The wet mud and grit felt cold against his cheek. He tried to focus on this sensation, rather than the muffled shouts and jeers from behind him. Slowly and carefully, he heaved himself off the ground limb by limb, panting heavily as he swayed onto his feet. Straightening up, he looked them square in the eye. Disbelief and fear spread across the faces of these perpetrators. They didn't think they'd have this much of a fight on their hands. It didn't matter how hard their punches or how vicious their insults; nothing would keep him down...

After contributions to Volume 2 and 3 of their Of Paradise compilation series, the label of the same name have invited Nuremberg-based producer Lazarus back for his first full solo outing on the imprint. Downwards is a ride through futuristic techno and breakbeat; maneouvering from deep rhythms and stabs of percussion to bright melodies and ferocious drum patterns, with each track showcasing Lazurus' knack for texture, expanse and emotion.

After making waves in Seoul with her all-female DJ collective and her multimedia artwork, Arexibo is releasing her debut EP as a producer. 카운터! (Counter!) works upon her proven dancefloor sensibility, weaving in contemplative moments of ambient, minimal electronica alongside bold melodies and luscious synthwave.
Made by connecting and extending virtual synthesizers, this slippage between quiet granular textures, pretty icy minimalism and moments of musical extroversion frenetic rhythmic scenes are at the centre of 카운터! (Counter!). While tracks such as 쌍둥이자리 Gemini are frantic and trance-inspired, fin glides with the symphonic ease of an early Boards of Canada track. On 3, she creates a sense of nightmarish, childlike weirdness, recalling compositions by the 20th-century minimalists. In 𓆉))))   𓆉))), Sci Fi soundscapes meet obscure tuning systems.

“’Counter’ is a word that presupposes a pair,” says Arexibo, “and it also implies a balance of power. When a force of similar size pulls each other in opposite directions, the two are temporarily placed at a standstill. My attitude of producing and creating is no different from this balancing act.”

The release of 카운터! (Counter!) is accompanied by a music video for 𓆉))))   𓆉))), directed by Arexibo, a simple but moving single shot which recalls the early screen tests of Andy Warhol. “Through a high-speed photo shoot that borrowed the typical form of portrait photography, I thought ‘How about the audience stay at the vague boundary between pictures and videos for a while?’” says Arexibo of the video. A mixed-media artist based in Seoul, Arexibo explores the relationship between image and actuality through camera images and sound. She is a quarter of the female DJ crew ‘BAZOOKAPO Seoul’, who organise music events in Seoul. As a musician, Arexibo concentrates on the ‘floor’ as a fluidic space, full of politics. She has been featured in Mixmag Korea and OBEY Korea. 카운터! (Counter!) is her first solo release as a producer.

Jon Hester grew up in the Midwest US, living in Chicago and Minneapolis while taking musical cues from Detroit. 
Initially he was a dancer, and later transitioned to the decks with a refined understanding of what it takes to move a club. 
He progressed to hosting his own events, holding residencies, and working at a record shop, and now brings his physical rhythms and adventurous drums to his productions, with output on respected labels such as Transmat, Deeply Rooted, Dystopian, Klockworks, and LET Recordings, not to mention multiple appearances on Rekids.

Continuing to show fine form on his debut album, Hester now serves up eight of his signature house and techno fusions with plenty of his trademark directness across four sides of vinyl.

 "’Converge’ encompasses my vision of techno and house with warmth, groove, and soul, and is steeped in my experiences in the Midwest US and around the world. The two-part album format provided me the freedom to stretch out and explore a wider range of sounds, instrumentation, and ideas, all the while keeping the dance floor in mind.
