The wicked intensity of Toronto's E-Saggila takes on novel limits for her new album for Northern Electronics. Constructed out of her live works, there's a lack of restraint on 'My World My Way' that could only be forged in the moment.

Following on from last year's album for BANK Records NYC, E-Saggila has put together something that addresses the club and the headphones in equal measure. Taking the approach of a documentarian of our virtual landscape, there's a deep motive that underpins the heavy digital signal processing. With plenty of storming mechanical rhythms that embark from gabber's chaotic neighborhood, the samples of voices, conversations, and phone calls, all wind the listener around the desperation that's embedded in the digital world's seamless mediation of our lives. Owing as much to power violence and industrial as to Rotterdam, E-Saggila's affinity for the extremes is as conceptually critical as it is stylistically present. Riding the BPMs high, and binding this all together with ambient music's sensibilities, 'My World My Way' moves in sharp strides between a political statement and a dancefloor assault.

Four years on from his release on TIMEDANCE002 as L.SAE, Joseph Higgins is back on the label under his flagship moniker Metrist. 

Pollen Pt. I is the first part of a trilogy of records, showcasing Metrist's latest developments in twisted beat-science. The release combines four tracks of rudeboi electro swagger, off-kilter vocal chops and imaginative grooves. 

Since his L.SAE record in 2015 Metrist has released on Where To Now?, Neighborhood and an LP Opal Tapes, here he refines his sound palette even further, striking a unique balance between the avant-garde and dancefloor.

The South is more than just a landscape. It is a corporal mark permeating the sensible experience; a form of imagination staggering on the edge of forgetfulness; an ambivalent minoritarian-becoming coexisting between the uncontrolled immensity of profusion and the violence of systematic plundering. 

From the record label Hiedrah Club de Baile, AGGROMANCE’s first full-length album, Turbera, is a digital handicraft piece that displays the contradictory speeds of a brown life born under the sign of the Uncomfortable, that worn coat embracing the very end of the world; a singular sound reluctant to the idea of a reconciliation between origin and destiny; a cartography from a stained body aimed to disorient the moral expectations about that sunken cry articulating its own desire to survive. 

Between the continuum of a hardcore sound lubricated by the cosmopolitan rawness and the tremor of a language desperate to the “authoctonous legitimacy”, right at the middle of the acid dampness of a nameless garden, Turbera unleashes the promise for a party gloomed by resentment as a twisted form of hope. A low-tech danceable impulse stagging that distopian futurity which we still live in, allowing us to recognize our faces against the dirty mirrors of this swamp-world, where, despise all our fatigues, there is some music worthlessly running on the melting of the global order and it harbors the password of the living.

Returning to L.I.E.S for the second part of his 'White Rats' trilogy, veteran UK artist Oliver Ho (AKA Broken English Club) continues his "collection of caustic and absurd portraits of the human animal" with 'White Rats II'.

Ahead of the LP's release on June 21, the Ho has handed over the album cut 'Cold Medicine' to Mixmag for a premiere. A metallic and ruthless slice of techno, the track shows off the more dance-oriented side of the artist's industrial flair and textured sonic vision.

Following guest mixes on NTS and performances in the Tate Modern’s Turbine Hall, TT are proud to present the debut EP from London-based artist aircode, Dislocated.

Characterised by a commanding use of texture, aircode’s production punctuates the spaces it inhabits with enigmatic precision. I Know My Life searches fitfully for the obscured; pairing sweeping synth motifs with distorted speech to create a sense of quiet knowing. Placing the listener in the midst of surrounding, bass-heavy intensity, Reform freezes and warps those surroundings until breathy gasps return the focus back to the body. Club-driven experiments such as Lipsill’s unnerving echoes and the suspended scratches of When It’s Said It Is combine a commitment to meticulous sound design with a recognition of the pleasure of masterfully navigating a chaotic club space.

Imbued throughout with a tangible sense of disruption and confusion, Dislocated presents a idiosyncratic club manifesto from one of London’s most exciting emerging producers.
