Following the immense success of her highly-anticipated sophomore EP ‘The Ceremonialist’ for Alan Fitzpatrick’s We Are The Brave imprint last month, Techno luminary Simina Grigoriu now continues her run of impressive ascendancy with another huge milestone in her ever-flourishing career. 

Marking the 100th release on her own acclaimed Kuukou Records, Grigoriu’s brand new single ‘Iron Angel’ is another masterclass in high-impact techno that upholds all of the raw and driving sensibilities we’ve come to know and love from both Simina and her label’s impeccable output. Paying homage not only to Kuukou’s monumental journey but also to her daughter Rosie, ‘Iron Angel’ takes on deeply personal significance, embodying the spirit of resilience, strength and love that Simina so passionately champions.

Flawlessly executed, Simina’s refined techno cut is another prime example of both her technical capabilities in the studio and her growing creative flair. For the next instalment of Say What? we see two of our regular and powerhouse techno producers Greg Notill and Tony Romanello join forces to deliver an electrifying 4-track EP to set dancefloors ablaze and is a seamless fusion of their distinct styles!

The EP Starts off with 'Timeless' - a relentless banger characterized by its pounding bassline and atmospheric textures, setting the tone for the voyage that lies ahead. Raw sound design and deep pulsating stabs keep things rolling and driving, maintaining the energy from start to end!

'Patterns' is up next delving into intricate percussive patterns and evolving synths, injecting a surge of adrenaline with its rhythmical energy and hypnotic groove and being a testament of the boundless creativity and collaborative energy these two producers bring together.

Third up is 'Collateral Damage', the track that blends rhythmic complexities with infectious sound tweaks and takes the listener on a sonic assault with its deep energy that ignites the senses straight away from the first moment you listen to the track.

Last on the EP is 'Ingoma' - a high end roller that is both hypnotic and uncompromising, from the moment the needle drops, you are plunged into a whirlwind of distorted synths, thunderous basslines, and modular percussions!

The Belgian duo, Filterheadz is back with another three-track storming EP. This time the served us three different tracks with different styles. The first one, 'Enigma', is more jacking and raw, while the second one, 'Euphoria', has their trademark sound of euphoric melodies while maintaining great energy. They are finishing off this EP with 'Seatle' a stabby groove track that does the damage on the floor. All tracks are different yet fit together nicely for this release.
