5-piece rock n roll band from Leeds. Inspired by music from the 50s/60s/70s.

We are The Velveteens, a five piece band based in Leeds. We comprise of:
Immy - Rhythm guitar/Lead vocals
Katie - Lead guitar/ Backing vocals
Ione - Bass/Backing vocals
Joel - Keyboards
Josh - Drums
Our songs combine the raucous sound of 60’s garage with a modern sensibility, awash with harmonies and guitar/keyboard driven melody. Our melting pot of influences across time become fully apparent when songs in the set range from from fast rhythm and blues right through to mid tempo waltzes. Having played the jazz café in camden and several festivals enjoyment is guaranteed!

We are The Subterranean Gentlemen or The Sub-Gents if you like. We meet at our cloakroom base is in Scarborough, North Yorkshire and try to organize noise into music.
