Lighting Up (Dia De Los Muertos) is taken from the 5 track DARK HOURS EP which is available now from all digital outlets. It plays like a Day of the Dead parade via a truth or dare game of Russian Roulette. It's a nostalgic tune that's big on hooks. Produced by the legend that is Gavin Monaghan at Magic Garden Studios in Wolverhampton and recorded 3rd October 2020 on a wet and cold day. 

Track trivia : The tambourine that you can make out low in the mix used to belong to T-Rex front man Marc Bolan.

The rest of the EP was produced by Joe Chalmers (aka PUKK) at his bedroom studio (better known as the House of Blews) using a £10 acoustic guitar from local ads, a Windows 7laptop that boots every 9th attempt and free software. It's about as DIY as it gets. Even the cover art was made on a phone using free apps and some imagination.

While writing and recording a whole new crop of songs for a whole new Slowly album (coming soon), Charlie decided to revisit and re-record one of his favourite tracks off the first Slowly record, because...reasons. So, here it is, a brand new recording of the song 'Exit Left', which originally appeared on the 2017 album 'Unfold'. 

The original version was recorded back in the before time, in the long, long ago, when Charlie had limited equipment and much less know-how of them fancy recorderin' techniques. He has often wondered how some of his older songs would sound if he had recored them today, in the now time...and now he needn't wonder any longer. This is the result. Hope you like it!

Mashmellow is a new Moscow-based dream-pop duo. Band-members Masha and Egor were both born in Russia’s Far East and met each other in Moscow in 2018. They decided to make music together because they shared a mutual love of early 90’s dream-pop. So their sound is a nice blend of post-punk sounds, and dreamy 90’s indie-pop, reminiscent of the likes of The Sundays and Adorable, but with a new sheen in the style of bands like Hatchie and Hazel English.
