Last Night On Earth was created after my granny died from Covid one year ago. My Mum had just been admitted to hospital with Covid and was in intensive care when my Granny suddenly went in and by 10pm that day she had passed. But the thing I remember from the night is what the doctor said to my Dad - she just floated off with a smile on her face. I then created the music to have a feel as if you are floating on smoke with interweaving soundscapes that build and release the mood, like a deep rolling breath

Space Fly is a release of anger with its thunderous breaks and dark cinematic soundscapes all being symbolic of the times during lockdown - frustration, loneliness and an overwhelming anxiety of being trapped.

Live in the Light sees Robot 86 marry dreamy, off-kilter, and detuned pads with searing drum breaks and jagged yet embracing motifs to deliver an excursion into old skool that feels futuristic and familiar at the same time. Built on a foundation of tape-saturated samples, Live in the Light provides a nostalgia trip that never ventures into rave territory but undeniably got its blueprint from the glowstick heyday of the 90s. As the wonky pad moves off its axis, the warped vocal and rib-tickling sub lets us know we're in for an experience, and that's precisely what this track is for every second of its modest sub-4-minute runtime. The crunchy break picks up the pace and ushers in the first taste of the waspy lead motif, but we never get comfortable as we're taken off again for a closer solo inspection of the thumping break taken up a notch. When the motif returns on top and the carefully curated sub-bass slides back in, it's enough for a near-aural orgasm.
