Biography:
Brisbane’s Adventure Land grew up in a world with Napster, MySpace and the internet: part of the ignored majority that love to discover new music from any source that focuses on melody, doesn’t take itself too seriously and speaks truly to their life experiences growing up.
With nods to Dashboard Confessional, Anberlin and Jack’s Mannequin, authenticity is an important part of the Adventure Land ethos, but with a rejection of hipster culture and faux indie fakery. Adventure Land want to speak to real fans with their music, not snobs: to deliver a fresh sound that speaks to their own peers.
And the fans are listening. After forming as young teens in 2007, Adventure Land have matured into one of Brisbane’s most exciting pop acts with their track “Hold My Hand” achieving spins on Rage as well as Austereo’s Radar Radio. They have toured around Australia and New Zealand playing shows to new converts and continue to attract the attention of both the industry and media.
Their second single (and opening track on their new EP) “The Eastern Sky” has already eclipsed this success, scoring them a distribution deal and a finalist position in Nova’s “I’m With The Band” competition. It also placed them in the final four in the inaugural Queensland Music Awards pop category ahead of over 300 entrants. The single hits radio this week before the EP “Part 1” hits stores on October 7 through MGM Distribution.

Neon Tiger are Blake Howson (Vocals/Synth), Andrew Watt (Drums), Steve Barzdevicius (Guitar) and Jevon Hill (Bass); students of the lost art of grandeur in rock and roll - infusing a healthy dose of bravado into their every move. Between spinning Bruce Springsteen and David Bowie records, NEON TIGER have found inspiration in the more modern stylings of Panic At The Disco and Walk The Moon, crafting a well defined sound that transcends genre barriers.

Blake’s onstage charisma and Andrew’s intensely musical yet animalistic drum playing make their live shows unmissable, and their ever growing fan base is a testament to that. This is a band that doesn’t believe in genre boundaries, just in good music, and Neon Tiger deliver on every front. They may appear flashier than their peers, but its not for a lack of musical integrity in their growing catalogue.

With their debut EP on the horizon, Neon Tiger are cementing their place as a band to watch, and to watch out for.
