Very excited and honoured to make a contribution to one of my favourite series in dance music - the legendary FMB Mixtape. 

The mix is all over the place musically, but it really encapsulates the wide array of sounds that inspire my productions, while also giving an idea of the eclectic nature of my sets. I've included some unreleased pagan in here, so keep an eye out for those tracks over the next few months. As usual, drop any ID requests in the comments and I'll be happy to reply. Huge thanks to the two boys and their team for having me on, after a chance meeting outside a cafe in London last summer to now putting out a mix for them feels frankly surreal.

Lost Sundays Sessions #020 is delivered by Eora’s own Human Movement - aka Sydney’s Eddy ‘Mudfoot’ Macdonald.

A staple of the circuit as both a producer and DJ, Eddy has built widespread recognition for his unique brand of forward-thinking dance music inspired by a love of hard-edged UK Garage, 90’s House and old-school rave. 

With acclaimed releases on labels such as HOMAGE, Kitsuné, Defected and Of Leisure, Mr. Movement has  racked up millions of streams, collaborated with AU rave-royalty Paul Mac and been backed by DJ Seinfeld, Logic1000, Ciel, Eris Drew. TSHA, Daniel Avery and Pete Tong. If consistency is the key to success, there’s a lot to be learnt by studying the output and trajectory of Human Movement.

“The opening track, Wamdue Kids’ ‘Dreams’, has been on repeat at my house for the last couple of weeks. It’s actually kind of a problem - I can’t stop listening to it and singing the melody. It’s really starting to piss off my girlfriend which is why I decided to open with it.

As for recent discoveries, I’ve just come across an artist called Edmondson through Bandcamp. I don’t really know much about them but I like their EP so much that I had to put 2 of the tracks in the mix - listen out towards the tail end to catch them.

On the local tip, there are a few Aussie artists featured in the mix - but I’ll give a shoutout to one of my besties, Ruby May Moon. Not only is he a great guy, but we’re working on a few tracks together for a collaborative EP which we’re both very excited for. His new EP ‘Ruby May Moments’ has been getting a lot of love so make sure you check it out and send him a nice message.

My LS Sessions mix is a bit pulled back from what I’d usually play at Lost Sundays, but I think you’ll like it. I’m looking forward to being back at Lost Sundays soon - I’ve got stacks of new unreleased tracks to debut on the LS rig, including something soon with Western Sydney rapper, Big Skeez. Born into a lifetime love for electronic music, Pretty Girl (Emilia Predebon) has spent the year slowly finding her feet in Melbourne’s music scene. 2019 has been an eventful year for the 21-year old producer, developing her live set to play at clubs and bars all over Melbourne, and headlining a warehouse show run by Handle. Although DJing is a new world to Pretty Girl, her background in production and performance is enhanced by years of experience with different DAWs. In the near future, Pretty Girl intends not only to release and play more of her productions, but continue making mixes full of emotional lo-fi, and glittery ambient house music, just like the Novelcast she has prepared.
