This Sunday afternoon, festival closer set carries the energy from the prior DJs (Goose and Hosca who absolutely killed it) and then winds it all down in the second hour with some eclectic selections ... bringing a magical weekend to a close in typical RT style   

Big props to the wonderful crew at Biophilia for booking RT as the festival closer - it was an honour and a privilege to play music to such a magical group of people, and especially in such a beautiful surrounding of nature - what a vibe!

BRIA is a Dharawal/Eora based DJ and the host of Monday Arvos on FBi Radio. She draws from many influences and communities and emphasises diversity through astute selections; expect a mixture of big basslines, rhythmic percussion, breaks, and catchy samples in any BRIA set. Fresh from a debut Boiler Room set, it is safe to say BRIA is becoming a popular name on the Sydney dance community.

For me it is pure joy listening to a track or a set, hear the little elements come and go and form a story which guides us through day or night. I appreciate deeply the work of the producers of every track. My set is therefore a thank you to all of them and a gift to all the people to sink into the wonderful and inspiring world of music."

@bertha_lysergid started to properly DJ early last year. Her sound has been shaped by the places and spaces that surrounded her musically. While her early education took place in Hamburg, Bertha spent her teenage years in north-eastern Germany. Bertha's musical repertoire now also incorporates the sounds of Berlin and Leipzig, where she currently lives.

Born and raised in Belgium, Joris Biesmans has made a remarkable journey to become a big name in the scene. His evolution from sound technician to a celebrated DJ and producer is a story of dedication, and relentless pursuit of musical excellence.
 
His early foray into music began under the moniker Cashmere, releasing music on Steve Lawler's VIVA Recordings. At the same time his formal education at the PXL Music Academy, provided him with a solid foundation in production and sound engineering. 
 
In 2013, he made the life-changing decision of moving to Berlin and secured a job as sound technician at Watergate, one of the city's iconic clubs. That role was an immersion into the heart of Berlin’s electronic scene, rather than just a job. When he wasn’t fine-tuning the club sound system, he was in the studio developing his unique sound.
 
The turning point in his career came when leaving his technician job at Watergate to focus entirely on production. As a new addition to the W-Agency roster, Biesmans released an impressive debut EP on its label, marking his official entry into the professional music world.
 
His music, characterized by joyous techno vibes and influenced by electro and space disco, started gaining traction with releases on other prestigious labels such as Correspondant or Future Disco.
 
In 2020, Joris released the Electric Love EP followed by his first full-length album, Trains, Planes & Automobiles, in 2021. This album marked a significant shift in his sound, incorporating influences from '80s synth pop and Hi-NRG. That same year, he released the Heroes After Dark EP.
 
2022 saw the release of Watergate 28, a mix including collaborations with notable artists like Kasper Bjørke, Johannes Albert, or Dusky. He produced or co-produced every track on the mix, highlighting his versatility and collaborative spirit.
 
In 2024, he kicked off the year with a new track, Blitz, marking a fresh chapter in his career. This track also served as the inaugural release for his newly launched label, MUEM Records. Its establishment signifies Biesmans’ commitment to explore new horizons and support emerging talents.

As we enter festival season in Melbourne and having just attended A3 Festival last week, I’ve been inspired to create an energetic house mix with the open air and afternoon breeze of the A3 stage dance floor still fresh in my mind. 

As usual I’ve blended sounds from the past and present keeping things trippy, sexy and fun. Expect chunky prog, 90s house gems and some bouncier hard house. 

My favourite thing about DJing is using mood and environment to challenge and shape my signature sound in any context. I draw inspiration from artists who I think have nailed their versatility, such as Paramida, Hannah D, Roza Terenzi, and THC. 

Music has always been a big part of my life. Some of my happiest, most memorable moments have been experienced on dance floors across the world so my goal as a DJ is to hopefully create experiences like that for others!
