Partisan's label head Anthea steps up for our first podcast since Dimensions 23'. The British-born, Berlin-based artists' funk-fuelled take on house & techno has rightly won plaudits around the globe, and with DIM 295, Anthea showcases the deeper end of her collection over a spellbinding 85 minutes.

We'd also like to introduce friend of the festival Ginny PA, who's photography we'll be using in our new-look mix series artwork moving forwards.

French artists Massai and Lamalice's joint project Smooth Operator has been bubbling under for some time now with previous outings on Anthea’s Partisan imprint their studio credentials speak for themselves. Singularly, the pair have been quite influential in the direction of the French electro scene with their involvement in Sentaku servicing pretty much all of the clubs and festivals in France and beyond a slice of their symbiotic energy. Belgian blends on Anthea & Velasco’s PILLZ label this Spring as Session 4000 shares an energetic encounter on the sought-after label. Since its inception in 2022 the PILLZ label has been building a reputation for refined underground moods, and “Take A Chill Pill” is no different. Across the four dynamic cuts the rising producer maneuvers between gritty shades of house and electro, a sound synonymous with the growing Partisan and Pillz projects.
Diving into the EP is the opening track “1.2 Test”, shifting the night into fifth gear with its spaced out atmospheres and direct drive. Keeping the flame well and truly on Session 4000 continues the animated action in the title track “Take A Chill Pill”, constructed upon progressive energy and tripped-out samples that are flashing throughout. “Pill” is a slinky encounter for the hazy hours of the night, transcending deeper into the trip with its hypnotic textures and twisted motions. Come and dance in ravey conga paradise with the final track of the EP “Pump Da Floor”, and as the name might suggest, he shows no signs of slowing down here as we engage in one final blast for the floor. 
This is innovative ravey club music for those who like their tunes fresh to death focused on the more tripped-out end of the spectrum.

The foundation of every great movement is rooted in shared beliefs. Partisan, Anthea's inaugural imprint, embodies this concept by bringing together artists of a similar ethos, bound together by a common desire to enhance the current musical landscape.  Ranging from house to techno and electro, Partisan's releases move beyond genre barriers-a diminishing trait amongst the highly niche labels of today.

Launching in 2016, Partisan premiered with Oshana's "Arcadia" release, a warm, minimal-house groover supported by many key industry players.  The release proved to be an instant success, selling out in a matter of weeks.  The momentum continued with a string of vibrant EP's from label mates Inner, Giammarco Orsini, Kashawar, Fern, Ish, Cobert, Otis, Lapucci, and label boss, Anthea. This eclectic, yet talented group of artists formed from a long-standing relationship with Anthea, who felt deeply connected to their music.  Drawing from this inspiration, she created the Partisan platform to materialize ideas from artists whom are close to her heart and share their music with the world.  

Since its inception, Partisan has expanded with a growing list of talent and showcases around the world.  With dates at the notorious Club Der Visionaere in Berlin, Rex Club in Paris, and Resolute in New York City to name a few, the Partisan movement continues to thrive with momentum.  As the Partisan label continues to evolve, its dynamic, intelligent, and floor-minded aesthetic will push it to the forefront of labels for years to come.
