For the 27th JEUDI issue let’s welcome back one of the label headhonchos Doctor Dru. The “Savannah” EP is uniting his past as a drummer and his feel for hooky, layered arpeggios in a perfect manner. Dru’s tracks are always welcomed sureshots on the foor. His last contribution “The Pattern” stirred up the summer in Ibiza in 2015 and was played to death by major league artists like Solomun or Nic Fanciulli. This year his infamous remixes of D-nox & Beckers “Serenade” on JEUDI , Nico Stojans “BLUE HOUR” and Sailor &I’s “Letters” stirred up the festivals and foors around the world. We are sure this release will fnd his way in the playlist of many DJs as well.

The “Savannah” leads you in the wide of the african steppe merging multi layered arpish melodies into one fne percussion driven hypnotizing tune. Of course with never missing the hands up moment.

“Praerie” is featuring a little darker atmosphere but not less percussion driven. You’ll fnd Dru’s signature drone with trancy melody interjections. But the breakdown is what made the tracks name. Inspired by the west coast synth melodies of the late 70’s it comes suprisingly and with just the right power to make the crowd freak out.

Our favourite couple of the underground is coming with their second 2 tracker on JEUDI. Two stunning pieces accompanied by an uber remix of the sought after duo Innellea. Great excitement in the JEUDI house to finally present these much demanded and already well supported works. 

“Hypnos” is a laid back multi facetted deep groover with all the coolness and experience of Danito & Athina’s production skills. Always evolving, great story telling and cocooning the crowd in melodic deep vibes leaving only happy faces. 

Innelleas reinterpretation of “Hypnos” is adding the flavour of the wild west including some decent cowbell action and a nonchalant compelling guitar work. Reminding of Neil Young’s work forJim Jarmusch’s movie “Dead Man” combined with tripping voodoo synth spheres.

“My Body” is featuring Athina’s voice with an undeniable seductiveness. This seething almost mystical tune builds a very own deep and profound atmosphere.

Italians Luigi Gori and Frankye Lova debut on Timeless Moment with three Melodic Techno gems: Relief, Eccentric and Rubbing.

The main themes involving the first two tracks of the EP, Relief and Eccentric, are darkness and hypnosis, with both bringing obscure progressive atmospheres, organic analog synth lines and solid dance floor grooves.

The third and final track of the EP is more Techno orientated with a slight “Cirez D’ feel to it. The effects of “Rubbing” on the dance floor are notable and euphoric due to its powerful bass line and kick drums that are followed by an amazing introspective breakdown, turning this one a secret timeless weapon for the underground lovers.

Suulo Vs Curl present a lush trip into ethnic house vibes with their debut on ZEHN records. Despite their young age these two have developed a mature sound that resonates with crowds who tend to search for open spaces instead of crowded city centres. "Tapanas kitchen" catches the vibe of a desert oasis draped in a mirage and is the perfect sound of 2019.

Raised in Solingen, brothers Marius & Fabian found a mutual love for house and disco music from an early age. Through the realization that music connects them in a special way, they started putting on local parties and soon after delved into their own productions. The duo eventually received support from the Kittball Records family appearing on their Ibiza Global Radio show multiple times before signing to ZEHN Records. Their 'City of Belem' EP kick starts 2019 for the ZEHN Records imprint which is set to be yet another productive year for the label following releases from Modul Kollektiv, Los Cabra, Deniz Kabu & Wolfson and Daniel Rateuke.

The EP acts as a tribute to their South American trip a few years back and takes in an array of influences from that journey. Kicking off with 'City of Belem' which maintains typical ZEHN Records aesthetics of organic percussive offerings, journey filled atmospherics and alleviating melodies before delicate synth fluctuations, undulating low end and wonderful euphoric break downs take the focus in 'Tapana's Kitchen'

Raised in Solingen, Germany brothers Marius & Fabian got involved in disco and house music early on in their lifes. Realizing that music connects them in a special way they started out by organizing their own parties in local clubs, trying to spin some tunes. Soon after they began to create some tunes of their own, developing a more deep and melodic style. We are delighted to welcome back Sean & Dee to ICONYC with their brand new ‘The Ascension EP’. Their Dragonfly release back in October on ICONYC Noir, laid down the gauntlet and has seen their stock rise rapidly since. On their ICONYC debut the duo gets us in the mood with the opening track 'Last Tree Standing’. A grooving melodic techno roller, fusing chord stabs with string ensembles and clinical percussion with a beautiful driving lead line. 'Last Tree Standing’ is a monster of a track, that is perfect for your club inspired evening entertainment and to get you in the mood for a big night out.

Next up we have the title track ‘The Ascension'; this driving offbeat basslined winner, really hits it one from the off, as it musically slams it home. Providing a twisted counterpoint to the uplifting ‘Flying By Candlelight’, the second chapter of Above & Beyond’s ‘Common Ground Companion EP’ sees Jono, Paavo and Tony unleash ‘Distorted Truth’. 

This is Above & Beyond at their rawest, channelling the vitality of classic trance instrumentation into a track that manages to simultaneously be brutish and beautiful. Debuted during the band’s sold out Group Therapy 300 celebrations in Hong Kong, an attuned listener might hear a nod to the sounds of the Far East in the breakdown. 

Featuring both ‘Original’ and 'Club' mixes of three tracks that were part of the journey towards 'Common Ground’, the band’s 2018 album which debuted at Number 3 in Billboard’s Album Chart last February. Above & Beyond’s ‘Common Ground Companion EP’ includes ‘Flying By Candlelight’ (feat. Marty Longstaff), ‘There’s Only You’ (feat. Zoë Johnston) and ‘Distorted Truth’.
