For Mike Tohrs second installment on Atmosphere Records the talented producer invited three of his label comrades to join him in the studio. Together with Amari (a Ramon Tapia side project), Nico Morano and Remcord he crafted an outstanding EP, Minerals.

The arpeggio focused ‘Borax (ft. Amari) and dreamy ‘Opal’ (ft. Remcord) come out best during the transition of late nights into early mornings. Clay (ft. Nico Morano) on the other hand is a straight up peak time deep house banger with a rushing bassline and strong emotional touch.

For those who didn’t know yet, Mike Tohr is by far one of the most promising artists in the Belgian and international melodic house and techno scene. The future is in his hands!

Drumcode continues its commitment to releasing the scene’s most cutting-edge techno. With releases this year already from Adam Beyer, Pig&Dan, Alan Fitzpatrick, Dense & Pika and Julian Jeweil, this July see’s the return of Enrico Sangiuliano with ‘Astral Projection’.

After his remix of Moby’s of ‘Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad’ back in November last year, Enrico sought creative inspiration from his travels, transcending that into his productions and long studio sessions during the winter months. The result brings a mind and body melting release from the Italian producer.

The title track ‘Astral Projection’ is a captivating, big room techno masterpiece. Deep reverberations punch alongside a sinisterly crisp percussive drive. Launching into a groove laden synth modulation of low end textures, it breaks down into an ethereal amalgamation of pads and synths before the vocal launches, taking this track to another level.

‘Blooming Era’ has destructive dancefloor intent. There is no holding back with the low end synth modulation which Enrico has mastered to perfection. A tightly woven percussive flare moulds flawlessly with the rolling oscillations of the beast of this track.

If you have seen label head honcho Adam Beyer playing anywhere on the globe in the last 5 months, this has been a peak time favourite. Road-tested to the max, and with much success.

SP words :At times the fact that DJs play other people's music tends to fade into the background somewhat. Time to pay them hommage.
In the course of more than 15 years, we have encountered a bunch of impressive artists.
It was and still is their music that has made our sets what they are. Some of them came to play at one or the other of annual GRAND SPORTFEST events.
Some musical connections have even evolved into long-standing friendships.
So the idea of kinking up with these special colleagues to create a compilation came easy and a while ago. And much later, finally here it is!
Eleven of our most cherished guest artists have contributed their own tracks to create this showcase.
We're proud and grateful to be able to present the work of our friends and colleagues in this release.

Celebrating spring's arrival and its beautiful weather, we're proud to gather four talents for the Spring Vibes Compilation! This collection is pure electronica with an organic and enchanting flavor.

Ted Kasprow returns to Art Vibes after its critically acclaimed EP « The over's empathy » with « Tortured by Water », an ode to enchantment. The gentle and relaxing vibe is set through layers of ethnic percussions and soothing melodic textures.

Kachelly from Saint Pertersburg joins the compilation with « Nbiru », an organic masterpiece which evokes a waterfall of positive and vivifying emotions. It is perfect for the season and the renewal of sounds that come with it.

7.40 from Moscow delivers its talent with 'I Found You', a deep track that catches the ear with its mesmerizing pads and plucks. The growling bassline adds some warmth and groove assuring it to work well on the dancefloor!

Rupert Ellis 'Blind Through Colors' is a joyful melodic techno anthem with some crazy synth action. The sound scene is set by distant and dreamy pads that invites one to sit back and immerse himself in the auditory landscape.

Release Info: 
Marino first got our attention with a tune called ‚Can’t feel‘ a few years back. We played that track for ages, followed him since then and his music always found a way into our sets. Since we started the Siamese label he was always on the wish list to make a record for us and after his successful debut on the latest ‚Siamese Anthology‘ EP we can finally reveal a full EP from Marino Canal.

The title track ‚A Fire In The Sun‘ has been a permanent tool for us since we got it. It is changing the mood especially in the first part of our sets, letting us go many directions after it. It‘s calm but powerful, emerges suddenly but then goes back to its steady groove.

‚Her Perfect Sky‘ is Adrian Schweizer‘s favourite and was featured in the recent and highly anticipated Cercle set we played right in the French Alps. It did fit perfectly to the surrounding and we really had the perfect sky that day.

Next up is ‚White Atlas‘ which reminds us a bit of the minimal era. There have been a few tracks back then which had enormous depth and warmth and this one goes a bit into this direction, with a catchy but darkish melody.

‚Distant Borders‘ marks the perfect finish for us, a nicely moody track that doesn’t try to steal the show but works in its own way.
