Right before my spring break kicked off back in March I was driving up the coast with a static warm radio and a lot of beautiful butterflies; the butterfly migration north was taking place, and they really were everywhere. This song was born when I got back to Orange County that afternoon (I was living in San Diego at the time); I liked the song a lot immediately, but I didn't know what kind of purpose it'd serve me. This song changed the direction of the next EP, the one that's coming up, tremendously; it also changed Spring entirely for me. The season was surrounded by this project, this mood, this vibe, this particular shade of green and sea foam, the color of bioluminescence in the dark and eyes behind shades. The EP became one of light, of reflection, of joy, of synths, of productions that sound like flowers and lyrics that drive you home (or at least they drive me, and I'd be honored if they also gave you a ride). 

But before all that, there was just Dream Boy. Now it's not mine, but ours; thank you so much for giving it a listen and for joining me here, I'll always appreciate it tremendously.
