This may be the first time that we welcome a quintet to provide a Guest Mix for our series, making this episode with Floormagnet extra special.

Floormagnet are five experienced electronic music lovers and nerds from Stockholm, Sweden. It's the differences between the producers that create a unique combination with their obsession tweaking tracks until perfection and delivering authenticity.

Rooted in the underground sound, Floormagnet let ideas flow freely by pushing boundaries and develop their own characteristics captivating sounds. Inspired by the Swedish addictive nature, the intense darkness and light, and vulnerability it´s in their DNA. Nevertheless, they don´t follow trends. Genre-less electronic music. 

Floormagnet started their journey towards today over 30 years ago, fascination for the genre started with influences by the pioneers of electronic music, 1976-1982, that moved on to house, acid, techno, and sub-genres. It profoundly touched their hearts with the composition, rhythm, melody, timbre, and the tension between predictability and spontaneity. 

They may be newcomers as an artist/act but not as producers, they know electronic music “by heart” for decades. Floormagnet founded their own label FM recordings (Floormagnet Recordings) to cover all aspects of their career such as have control of their creative process from producing, songwriting and marketing - independence is highly valued.
