My remix of Green Velvet 'Bigger than Prince'

When offered this remix i thought, ok the original was big, the hot since 82 remix was huge and is talked about by people as the best remix of the last couple of years, so basically taking on this remix was always gonna be a bit of a challenge, but i like a challenge and took it on, 

i decided to make a groovy version with some acid 303's instead and have a bit of acid going on, so that my version is completely different from all the other versions out there.

The label love it anyway, here is a 2 mins clip, i will find out the exact release date and post it up, this is not gonne be for everyone, as you either love acid 303's in a track or you dont, i personally do.. :) ACIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEED!!

British producer wAFF has been making waves in recent years, reflecting on a diligent 2015 spent playing across the likes of Europe, Africa, Asia and the States, when not making routine appearances at Paradise, Ibiza. As a producer he’s dropped several lauded releases on Jamie Jones’ Hot Creations imprint, not to mention Matthias Tanzmann’s Moon Harbour and Sven Väth’s Cocoon, with his next outing landing on renowned Swedish label Drumcode run by techno titan Adam Beyer.

Laying down hard hitting kicks from the off, ‘Holographic’ churns out an undulating synth combined with shuffling hats and a cavernous low-end, before ‘VibrationZ’ employs a low-slung groove fashioned from a sultry bassline, floating chords and sinister vocal. Tying it together, ‘Syncronistic’ is on a more heads down tip with whirring atmospherics, crunchy snares and subtle 303 squelches for a lengthy and mesmerising piece of production.

Late January will see Max Chapman deliver his debut L.P via Kerri Chandler’s MadTech Records, titled ‘Catch Me If You Can’ and comprising ten original tracks from the UK artist.

Max Chapman has come a long way since his debut release was picked up by Pete Tong on Radio 1 in 2011, since then he’s gone on to cement himself as a driving force in the UK’s contemporary house output. Releasing material via the likes of Lost Records, Lower East and of course MadTech where his debut long player drops here, also his very own Resonance Records imprint which has continued to grow in strength over its active three years. With his first L.P on the way, remixes and original material for Hot Creations, Knee Deep In Sound, Non Stop and Snatch, plus a U.S tour penciled it’s evident that 2016 is going to be a big year for Max.

Here though we see Chapman mark a milestone in his career with the release of his inaugural album entitled ‘Catch Me If You Can’, and across the project Max explores an array of styles and modern takes on electronic music. From the off-kilter, bass driven experimentalism of ‘Intro’ and ‘I’m Going Deeper’, through to brooding melodious compositions such as title track ‘Catch Me If You Can’, ‘Halloween’ and ‘Sophisticated’.

There’s also some of Chapman’s more signature sound in the project with raw, low-slung house cuts like ‘Move Your Body’, the smooth ‘Resistance’ alongside Pleiades and the robust feel of ‘The Red Room’. All in all Chapman manages to deliver a coherent yet transient long player with the project, filled with dance floor focused tracks and more exploratory works throughout.
