When you're talking about techno, few names have been innovating and evolving as much as Robert Hood. When he's not running things over at M-Plant, he can be found touring the festival circuit with his live show and releasing tonnes of fresh new material.

Today we concentrate on his more melodic alias and under the name Floorplan, Hood has released a stunning album showcasing a slightly different yet equally strong sound.

A new EP is set to drop featuring two re-edits of tracks that appeared on his Floorplan album 'Paradise'. 'Phobia' and 'Never Grow Old' have been given a special Re-Plant and we have the premiere of the latter.

It’s been a busy 2014 so far for label head Dubfire. Whilst nothing unusual for the Persian-born producer, with the revival of Deep Dish (alongside Sharam), the release of their new single 'Quincy', the continuation of the SCI+TEC radio show, the release of his much vaunted remix of 'Come' featuring Asia Argento and his relentless global touring schedule, it would be a surprise to find even a slither of studio time for original Dubfire productions…

But find he did and today he unveils EXIT, his new single and collaboration with the first lady of techno, Miss Kittin. The pair have wanted to work together for years now and after a few idea exchanges they managed to sink their teeth into something magical. The strong low-end Dubfire groove is evident once again on EXIT as the pair playfully chop and reverse Kittin's vocals, pushing and withdrawing the bass to allow her sultry vocals to shine. On the flip we're treated to the electrifying wall of sound that is MIDIAN with its all-enveloping bass, pierced by energizing and synapse-searing shocks.

Drawing on 25 years of DJing alongside the greatest names in house music history at NYC's most legendary clubs, 14 years as the boss of his own label Maya, and a dis- cography that's seen him contribute to virtu- ally every go-to label you can name, Joeski returns to Poker Flat with a trio of deep and deadly club bangers, each one fine-tuned for devastating dancefloor deployment.

"XXX Part 1" works the toms and snares to magic up the vibe of a sweaty, sexy dancefloor. Underpinned by an insistent, bouncing bass and topped with seductive female whispers, it's an undeniably immer- sive groove.

"XXX Part 2" goes tribal, a swirling monster of a jam brimful with intricate detail and aci- dic stabs. It's an overwhelming experience - in the best possible sense - and a fitting climax to an accomplished EP.

"Come On" revolves around an inexorable - and utterly irresistible - bass wobble. Race cars whizz and whoosh through the stereo field as a voice intoning the title is distorted, stretched and deliciously twirked.

<p>A threefold trip is presented here by TN.T, with the title track establishing dominance as mangled vocals and quirky synths meet a juicy, rubber-band bassline.&nbsp; &#8220;Pik Poket&#8221; opts for a more heads-down approach, utilizing a straightforward drumset and sticky sub-bass.&nbsp; The EP closes with the low-end heaviness of &#8220;Grot&#8221;, as even more vocal manipulation is introduced and growling stabs add a futuristic edge while distant electronics intertwine with the shuffling snares.</p>
