Description:
Music is colorful, diverse and vibrant as the butterflies. Almost 180,000 different species live in 127 families. The music by Boris Brejcha is like a "Feuerfalter" (copper). On one side the butterfly is relaxing and floating on the wind, but on the other hand he also sets with steam and fire to a fall into a low altitude. This is how it feels when Brejcha makes music.

The fourth album is exactly the description of this "Feuerfalter", a kind of backflash into the impressive career of Boris Brejcha. An album that deliberately shows how the artist works versatile. Times slightly floating, sometimes wild hitting the wing, always full of passion. The influences of his travelings and performances characterize his art again.

This creates a music that may be accompanied on Brejchas audience the whole day: at home, in a relaxed atmosphere or just at night, when the trip through the clubs starts. On the album "Feuerfalter" this individuality is turned on. Brejcha even picks up the desire of his ans to weave a few quieter tracks into his cosmos.

It’s done. K.O. 
The stickiness kreeps out of the studio window. All inspiration is bundled. What stays is the trash on the carpet, the coffee cups and a last sunbeam, which is entering the scene on that late summer day. Two guys knocking with theirs feet on the floor. You see them smile. The first album of Kollektiv Ost is ready to enter the club.

We are listening to 12 tracks filled with emotions and with a wide view on electronic music. All songs are fun and straddle a few genres without sounding cheap. “K.O.“ is like a perfect soundtrack, starting with wild and deep claps in “Shanti“, switching to a melodic “Slow Me Down“, breaking the silence with a tech number like „ Da Thong“. Everything is in a flow, the vocals are sparely but on the right point.

German based Sandro Schäufler and Marcel Schulz used the energy from two different worlds to bring on that album, which is simply fresh. One of them lives in the capital of Techno, in a crazy and loud world, where music is like a pulse rate - Berlin. Meanwhile Sandro stays in his native country with a view on lakes, trees, untouched nature and many moments of total silence. And that is, what you are hearing in songs like „Winter Game“ or „Not Yet“. It is a mixture of influences, well balanced and gently brought to the peak.

First of all, let’s clean up. Close the window, take your time. Go out, find your way into the club. Breath in deeply and then, come with us into a world full of synthetic lights and timeless moments. Have a look on the stage, where two guys knocking with theirs feet on the floor. You see them smile. “K.O.“- It’s done.

Elderbrook x Andhim - How Many Times

Saona is another epic Ep from head honcho Kintar. Saona is the title of the first track, a magical tune inspired by a "cala" in Formentera island. This tune is a bombastic one for tech house and progressive dj's due to the impressive groove, atmospheric background and that ethnic flavor always involved in the Kintar's sound. 
Take my hand is the second tune of this release. Kintar said "It's a track against negativity". He believes that the power of music gives emotions and positive vibes to people suffering for any reason, where he intends to give them something unique and special. A great package that is well worth including in your wish list.

Greek producer Quell is next in line on Waze & Odyssey's label.

Based in Berlin, he's one for the bold side of house, releasing a load of bumpy, hammering and chunk-laden cuts on Ibadan, 20:20 Vision and Saints & Sonnets in the last few years.

The 'Go Away, Humans! EP', his debut on W&O Street Tracks, is much of the same, inviting Hot Haus Records and Unknown To The Unknown producer Palace, also one for livewire bangers, on board with a remix.

With their debut album due in June, Maribou State recently released the 'Rituals' single to keep us tiding over until then.

As with their previous material like the gushing 'Scarlett Groove' and synth-screwing 'Tongue', the Hertfordshire duo served up more luscious grooves with 'Rituals'. What's more, it was released on Ninja Tune-affiliated label Counter Records, following their association with Southern Fried Records.

Now that's out, attention turns to the album, 'Portraits', coming on June 1, and they recently unveiled Pedestrian-featuring 'The Clown', another polished to precision production.

AUS Music press on with what’s been a stellar year so far and continue to maintain the quality and diversity of their output. Next in line is a dub-tinged collection of foggy Deep House and Techno from Berlin based Youandewan backed up by Ilian Tape boss Dario Zenker on remix duties.

Whilst remaining modest and with a seemingly ineffable degree of ease, Youandewan has consistently bolstered his sound in his ascent. Typified by his latest ‘Spiral Arms’ EP on AUS - it is a sound that has taken on new facets and plunged to new depths since a move to Berlin and his latest ‘Verloren’ EP marks a further step down a colder and harder path.

The title track kicks things off with a rubbery thud sat beneath a rich sandy shuffle and a buoyant analogue stab. Reverberated vocals swell through the breakdown ahead of the return of a stripped but purposeful sub pattern. Dario Zenker then does what he does in upping the pace and driving nails, clap-heavy drum patterns through a tough and uncompromising remix.

253 (Decent Mix) then melds a flexing bass pattern with neatly plotted clicks and playful drum fills before glassy pads swell into focus. Stripped and steady in its development, tension in the track never quite spills over whilst an arresting warm up tone is deftly dialed. #1 then drives a full-bodied throb under chilly synth tones and dramatic drum flashes that cap off another fine addition to Youandewan’s ever-evolving catalogue and another rich and varied package on AUS.

It's been a solid 18 months since Smallville mainstay Stephan 'STL' Laubner dropped 'At Disconnected Moments', his moody album-long voyage into dub techno. It was Laubner at his dankest – gravelly kicks, skin-crawl melodies and, in places, an almost cosmic darkness.
 
His new 12" is a bold leap into the light. The frosty atmospheres have thawed. Gladly his signature percussive crunch remains in spades, but the mood is ecstatically up. For peak-time exultation, send for a draw on 'Heaven's Vape': a loose body-lifter with a shower of synth-stabs that trip on all of the same unbottled euphoria as Omar S' near-perfect remix of 'Wayne County Hill Cops'. And that's not a comparison made lightly.
