London’s Farah Nanji, AKA N1NJA is something special. She builds her hypnotic soundscapes using samples of ethnic instruments collected from across the globe, weaving them into a bespoke tapestry guaranteed to garner your intrigue. On 25th July, N1NJA brings you her sensational new single, The Vibe, available on Mobilee.

DJ MAG call N1NJA a “mega-talented, fast-rising star”. With impressive supporters such as John Digweed, Sasha, and Laurent Garnier, and packed dancefloors at revered clubs such as Pacha Destino, Space Miami, and the Steelyard, it is impossible to disagree. 

Press ‘Play’ on The Vibe. As soon as you hear the booming bass kick and tribal rhythm, you’ll agree that The Vibe is a perfect title. Yet there’s more to come. An intricate clap rhythm pricks up your ears, just in time for Mr V’s hypnotic, mesmerising vocal. 

“Imagine stepping into a world where the only thing that matters is the here…and now.” Dreamy, melodic synths kick in and you realise that you don’t even have to imagine. You’re there already. 

“It doesn’t require you to follow a specific path… it moves… with you”.
And as if by magic, you find that you’re already moving. The synergy between N1NJA’s production perfection and the punctual profundity of Mr V’s lyrics keep you spellbound until the end.

N1NJA’s third release on the uber cool, prestigious Mobilee label, The Vibe completes a trilogy along with 2023’s sublime A Frequency Illusion’ EP and 2024’s A Perfect Storm’ EP.

N1NJA tells us more: "With The Vibe, Mr. V and I invite you to push back against the age of constant documentation on the dance floor. Alan Fitzpatrick makes a triumphant return to the scene-leading imprint this August. The typically bombastic three-tracker of explosive, crowd-moving techno opens with ‘Love Siren’ packed with all the power and punch required to knock over festival crowds as it systematically builds and drops, this is one for the big open air stages. ‘U Said U’ is a massively hyped track that has been the subject of huge fan-demand since it first featured on Beyer’s Drumcode Radio in January. ‘Rumours’ wraps things up in slightly more understated but non-the-less effective fashion with its drawn out, tension building intro mushrooming into a crescendo of sleazy chords and sparking melodies.

Alan Fitzpatrick’s latest EP is the product of a particularly productive six months of studio time for the Drumcode regular. Containing five tracks that cover a circular range from pre-party ambiance to tripped-out melodic odyssey; vocal laced, chord driven hooks; barnstorming peak-time hammers; and 123bm afterparty grooves; there is more than the ‘usual’ Drumcode fare on offer within the aptly named ‘Life Through Different Eyes’ EP. A significant release for artist and label; the sonic incarnation of Fitzpatrick’s growing maturity as a producer and an indication as to the next evolution of the Drumcode sound.
