#1 in the Beatport charts for more than a month, german team Purple Disco Machine come back to OFF to infuse us with yet some more dancefloor destroying funk. 

´Move Or Not´ is a disco friendly track where the percussive vibe takes over while a clever programming of vocals, funky bass and a killer breakdown make the combo irresistible for every dancer out there. 

On the flip we have "Street Life" another disco winner using very catchy sampled piano and guitar licks in a hypnotizing groove progression taking us all the way back with a great west coast vibe...

We are delighted to present to you yet another up and coming artist to the Dirt Crew family. Petals In Sound’s style is best described as a refreshing mix of deep electronics and atmospheric deep house.

This whole release represents a theme of change and a sense of being ‘reborn’. The 2020 pandemic changed everything for everyone and for Petals In Sound this included becoming a mother and embracing a new lifestyle. After more than a decade of living, working and partying in south east London, 2022 Petals In Sound made the move to the Merseyside coastal suburb of Crosby, Liverpool to create a new life for her family.

‘Citrus’ the opener of the EP delves into the changes brought by pregnancy. A powerful droning synth and heavy bass drive the track but always keeping it at a gentle pace and making it the perfect late night deep closing jam. The title track ‘See the Morning Light’ reflects letting go and embracing what new life brings. With the great piano opening it catches immediate attention and when that bass line picks you up this track evolves into a beautiful “summer” tune, uplifting and full of positivity. Her last new tune ‘Slack Jazz // Your Love’ is a lil dance floor anthem which brings synths-a-plenty and a driving bass hook creating lots of energy. Here as well the originality of Petals In Sound shines through the whole track and makes her style stand out.

Last but certainly not least we asked our new crew member KaySoul to rework “See the Morning Light”. He used the main piano loop, vocal snips and added his typical jackin’ beats, cut up style and soulful touch we love so much in his productions. We are pretty sure this track also has the perfect “cool” vibe for a hot steamy party in or outside. Enjoy!

Omar Santis makes his debut on Karakul with the four track EP ‘A T.D.L.D Joint’.

Karakul is a new label focusing on deeper House cuts from around the world. First up is Chilean born Stockholm dwelling Omar Santis.

Omar first came to our attention through his records on the Woodsmen & Lady Log label, the first of which was a split 12” with Niklas Andersson which he then followed up with his own EP titled simply ‘W&LL003’ a few months later. Two fantastic records featuring his low slung, immersive House production that caught Karakul’s ears immediately.

Omar tells us ‘A T.D.L.D Joint’ is an abbreviation of ‘Ta det lugnt daa’ meaning ‘Take it easy then yeah’ and on this 12” he certainly does, in the best possible way. It’s his most soulful record to date, building upon his detailed signature sound with perfectly placed vocals on ‘Stark Champagne’, melancholic Rhodes on ‘Lulu’s Jam’, tribal percussion and pads on ‘At The Shanzai Hotel’ and finally lowering the pace altogether for the emotional ender ‘Inward’.

I have been keeping a close eye on @ThirdAttempt over the last couple of years and he's an artist who has grown immeasurably and one who you definitely need to be watching out for. Crafting sublime house music and slo-mo disco all with a more than a touch of hip hop sample aesthetic he's developed a really delicious sound, warm and invigorating. 

His latest Ep see's him land back on the excellent @Beatservice, a label which has been a staunch supporter of his work.

The Spirit EP features four trademark Third Attempt tracks, delicious and invigorating at the same time.
