UK-born / Cincinnati-based producer Marsh shares his second ‘Lailonie’ remix package, featuring mixes from Tel Aviv’s Guy J, New York producer Wassu, Istanbul’s Elif and a collaborative rework with fellow Brit Braxton.

A tastemaker of the progressive house scene, Lost & Found label boss Guy J follows up his standout 2017 remix of Way Out West’s ‘Tuesday Maybe’ with a fresh take on Marsh’s ‘Healer’. Responsible for some of Anjunadeep’s recent memorable moments with originals ‘When The Sun Goes Down’ and Anjunadeep 11’s ‘Chiaroscuro’, Brighton producer Braxton joins forces with Marsh to apply his signature melodic breakbeat touch to LP single ‘My Stripes’ (feat. Leo Wood). Rounding off the package are two new reworks of instrumental track ‘Florence’ from Istanbul rising star Elif, and album collaborator (and personal friend of Marsh’s), Wassu.

Complex strata of organic and synthetic sounds emerge fluidly and ascend into a harmonious climax, which with the brief omission of the dominant drum beat, preludes into the first vocal at exactly one minute. A beautiful interchange between instrumental and vocal and Stereocalypse’s dextrous play of diminishing and aggrandizing elements to draw on and draw out the emotions of the original track, are the vim and vigor of this remix. Through a firm and innovative control of tempo and complexity, the remix accentuates the turbulent emotional implications of the track’s lyrics, making it more poignant. WhoMadeWho’s provocative music videos are the icing on the cake to their music, adding the third dimension to their exceptional lyrics and sound. In their remix of I Don’t Know, Stereocalypse’s adds the right elements that bring listeners as close to an audio-visual experience as possible. If the good times were bottled and turned into a three track EP, Euphoria is what wed call it. Direct from the brain frame of Kellerkind, a.k.a Marco Biagini, announcing his upcoming third studio album 'Mindtrip', this EP proves again why he is one of Stil vor Talents stalwart producers. The titular track Euphoria is a hip-swinging toe-tapper from the get-go. Upbeat yet downtempo, this cut is laced with junglesque samples, yet retains a perfectly calibrated atmosphere of dreamlike elation. Stepping it up in tempo, Hypnotique has just the right amount of repetition to draw the listener into a trance-like state, with somniferous synths and pitch-perfect vocals bringing you back to the present moment. Uyezwa rounds off the EP with an exotic flavour: the divine vocals of Zimbabwean Oluhle accompanying Kellerkinds masterful production. The lyrics describe the feeling of a heart in pain, reminding us that to speak is to heal, to let it pass.
