We start the label off this year with a special debut by local Producer & Dj @lukeetaylor. "Headrush" is nothing short of . which is a result of his high musical erudition from years of experience. Luke has developed a truly unique sonic experience, hitting all the right spots, Each song having a strong narrative, intricate arrangements and pure feelings. A natural push and pull on the heartstrings.

Luke features three originals, with Headrush being our personal favourite which immediately caught our attention. It also features three remixes rounded off by international producer OX, who took a fresh and twisted approach to the original, an interpretation by Leeu, who headed in a more lucid dubby downtempo path & lastly, Vox Portent, who surprised us with a cheeky stripped back techno edit.

Cynthia is a Mexican Dj that has created a project around the downtempo, lo-fi techno and indie dance genres. She proposes energetic sets on each of her presentations with exquisitely selected music from all over the world. She has shared the stage with renowned DJs and producers such as Damon Jee (FR), Kate Stein (NYC), Alvaro Cabana (SP), Pete Herbert (UK), Eliezer (TLV), Tom & Collins (MX), ELIF (TK), Invoker, among many others.

The Magic Movement is happy to welcome Swedish artist Anton Kling with a full EP on their label. After his mesmerizing single „You“, which he contributed to a Various Artist release last spring, he's finally back in full force with his Phobos EP.

On remix duties for „Phobos“ we find Alex Banks, who made a name for himself on Alex Cooper's Mesh imprint, and who is a perfect fit for the track Phobos. Praised by the likes of BBC Radio 6 and Mixmag as well as with work released on Monkeytown and Ninja Tune, Alex turns „Phobos“ into a bass heavy broken beat bonanza, featuring hypnotic arpeggios and saturated lead synths.

The EP, which will be out on March 31st, contains atmospheric originals, full of warm and almost jazzy synth work, syncopated rhythms and haunting vocal snippets. There's a beautifully melancholic red line which flows through the EP. His passion for ambient music and lo-fi textures is clearly audible in every track, where spacious soundscapes meet gritty percussion sounds.

Hierapolis was originally a Phrygian cult center of the Anatolian mother goddess of Cybele and later a Greek city. Its location was centred upon the remarkable and copious hot springs in classical Phrygia in southwestern Anatolia. Its extensive remains are adjacent to modern Pamukkale in Turkey. The hot springs have been used as a spa since at least the 2nd century BC, with many patrons retiring or dying there as evidenced by the large necropolis  filled with tombs, most famously that of Marcus Aurelius Ammianos, which bears a relief depicting the earliest known example of  a crank and rod mechanism, and the Tomb of Philip the Apostle. The Phrygians built a temple dedicated to the mother goddess Cybele on the site probably in the first half of the 7th century BC. This temple, originally used by the indigenous communities living in the Lykos valley would later form the center of Hierapolis. When the Greek colonists arrived and built the city on the pre-existing pattern of settlement, the ancient cult of Cybele was gradually assimilated into the Greek religion. HusnuCanMarley invite you to a journey through time, space and sacred cities. This is his first release for Shango Records. These two tracks can give you hope, spirit and the holy ghost. Regndans and Alexander Barabash are taking a rest in Cybele’s temple.
