Madorasindahouse’s yearly compilation has become somewhat of a staple of trends for the year to come. Including newcomers and old friends, MIDH Selects provides a handful of selections ranging from afro, afro tech, soulful, or deep and organic house music of the highest quality. 

This year, for the 4th installment, we have compiled 14 tracks from producers from all around the world.

Debuting on the label, we got Morda from the legendary duo Black Motion, SA’s own Deep Narratives, Soulholic & 7options, Massh, and unique Spanish talent G.Zamora, Thimble, Homeboyz from Portugal, Israeli and Greek collab between Moish & Vasilis featuring Idd Aziz, Berlin-based Los Cabra in collaboration with Cacao's Carlos Barbero, intriguing Belgian producer Copal, Haza from France, Gone Deville from Canada, and legendary deep house greek producer DSF. 

Also, returning to MIDH, it's the greek Maestro Nikos Diamantopoulos and Void Mykonos Resident Liva K.

Say the label of this new collection, "In ancient Khemit, Atum was one of the first Masters of Khemitian mythology, associated with creation and the Ennead (nine divine Masters) of Heliopolis, the city of the Sun. His name means completion, ultimacy and continuity. Atum was the chief Master in the Ennead of Heliopolis. This place of primacy in early times is mentioned in the Pyramid Texts, where he receives more attention than many other Masters combined. Sounds of Khemit is being guided and educated by Atum, his energy and teachings will not only shed light onto Sounds of Khemit project but it will spread to everywhere around us. His energy will lead us to bring order from disorder and to bring light from darkness." First up, LA-based deep house dreamer, Sarkis Mikael returns after landing on the label's second release back in 2021. He works with Arash Avin on 'Deede O Del', a house cut with bouncing drums and spiritual vocal chants. The percussive groove is brilliantly organic and atmospheric. Berlin underground mainstay Deckert links with Japan's STUDIO APARTMENT - a duo turned solo project that first started 20 years ago and had big tunes on quality labels like King Street Sounds, Defected and New World Records - for the brilliant 'Ebisu'. It's spine-tinging house music with widescreen and pensive synth work. Shakers and strings add great detail to the drums, which have a hypnotic and mystic quality beneath the cosmic keys. Last of all is Socko, an artist who combines Armenian ethnic compositions with his own vision. His 'Dandelion' is the edgiest of the EP, with steely drums and creeping bass notes under a catchy groove. Exotic melodic motifs cast a further spell as this worldly house track unfolds. 'Atum's Myth' is another immersive and escapist collection of worldly grooves.

Sol Selectas welcomes the trio ARKADYAN to the label, with their new single “Tulila”, featuring 2 remixes by Manoo, and Safar (FR). 
 
While on tour in Morocco, Arkadyan was inspired by the local culture and musical talents. They met and recorded local artist Radouan Naim, who sung the lyrics to Tulila, and also played the classic guembri instrument. This became the foundation for the song “Tulila” which is a  song typically sung by children while playing. It loosely translates to "maybe not, maybe yes... Tur kulila, Tulila " in the ancient Berber language. We hear the ying and yang, the perfect balance, between the playfulness of the lyrics, and the deep afro rhythms, percussion, and 3 stringed guembri. 
 
On the remixes we are honored to welcome French Soulful House legend Manoo, who has been a staple in the Deep House scene for over 25 years. Manoo has released countless productions on too many famous labels to even mention. His remix is pure Afro groove, with no breakdowns at all, just layers upon layers of incredible percussion, that endlessly builds the crowd into an absolute frenzy. 
 
The 2nd remix is by Safar (FR) and follows his amazing song “Leyam” from our Summer Sol VII compilation. He adds his own tribal groove to the original, and expertly chops up the vocals creating beautiful tension and release on the breakdowns.
 
The artwork by Helia Jamali depicts the golden spiral of life & the harmonic dance of the universe.

B-Side 'Maya' was born in Mexico, where M.E.M.O. has allowed his experience in the jungle to flow into musical productions.

Lads release the brand new Organic House track  Tales of the Orient on Nhii's label Sounds of Khemit

Sounds of Khemit celebrate the Great Ennead with a fantastic new collection of nine tracks from some of their key associates.

The inspiration for this collection is explained by the label who say, "The Great Ennead is a group of nine Masters that are responsible for running and administering the bigger plan of creation. They are considered a high council or hierarchy that takes orders from the one Creator and execute it accordingly. Every one of the
Great Ennead holds specific characteristics and excels in it to perfection. The Masters of the great Ennead occasionally get reincarnated in different periods of time and to different nations worldwide. They would be known under different names to different cultures but their mission and task remains the same. "

Every master of the great Ennead owns a range of complex characteristics that have been explained in detail in previous Sounds of Khemit releases. Essentially, their mission is to bring light from darkness, which is mirrored by the label and this fantastic new collection of house sounds.

LADS kicks it off with 'Tales of the Orient,' an eight-minute masterclass in deep, spiritual and hypnotic house. 

Turu Anasi's 'Luciérnagas Mágicas' rolls on lovely lazy drums with glistening melodies and languid horns while Olivan's 'Stretch The Wing' brings intoxicating Middle Eastern sounding Melodies over snaking drums and soft shakers. When K-os Theory and Soul Of Zoo come together on 'Whispers of the Past' they
summon spine tingling vocals and wispy melodies that draw you in deep over pillowy but propulsive house beats.

The excellent 'Sandstone' by Nhii is another great marriage of the ancient and the contemporary with its earthy percussion and deft synth design. 

Somelee's 'All I Want' then strikes a dreamy pose with soft focus piano chords and shuffling beats. There is a darker mood to Solidmind's late night house cut 'Paragon' but Solar Kings bring back the light with their elegant and glassy keys on 'Ateik Ateik.' bawab closes down with

'Seaward', an elastic groove brilliantly detailed with whispers, wooden hits and plunging bass.
These are shamanic and cultured house sounds that bring worldly references to the dance floor with plenty
of style.

Underground mainstays M.E.M.O. and SiS combine forces for new Nao EP. Both tracks explore rich, organic, Afro house styles.

Malaga's M.E.M.O. has already topped the Beatport Electronica charts this year with his gem 'Forgether' with Thimble and it comes after many other stylish sounds on home label Mobilee. He has more than 25 years of experience in the scene and his music often makes its way into the record bags of tastemakers like Black Coffee, Solomun and Bedouin. Here he hooks up with SiS, Woomoon Ibiza regular, founder of Cocolino Records and a producer who knows how to cook up heartwarming grooves.

Opener 'Nao' is a percussive Afro house track with an alluring vocal. Snappy snares and shakers, twanging hits and broken rhythms all make it a physical sound but one with a lasting sense of emotion thanks to the stirring chord vamps. On the flip, 'Chaman' cuts loose with a blend of futuristic synth work and organic percussion. They intertwine perfectly as humid chords and breathless vocals enrich the vibrant track with authentic Afro soul.

‘Glutes’ is peak-time material without being overly fast or chaotic, the energy instead coming from the transportive arrangement and emotive melodic content. The same can be said for Bäumel’s ‘Surge’ on Kompakt, an anthem in the sets of Tale Of Us last year which led to this release.

The title track rises and falls, surging with wide-sweeping synth notes and a steady rhythm to anchor the waves. An infectious refrain pulls you further in and, right on cue, the kick drum continues to beat the sweet spot. ‘Engage’ is filled with similarly subtle details, uplifting arpeggios and atmospheric reverb. Half-way through the melody bursts into life, shining brightly through the haze and creating one of those moments of release that make the Afterlife sound work so well on a dancefloor.
