SevenDoors is a new producer from the UK. When we heard his first demo tracks we directly signed them. VOID has been working in our sets like magic. As you may have guessed by our extensive coverage of all things Jeudi, we're quite the fans of Doctor Dru's imprint here at Data Transmission, with the outlet quickly becoming one of favourite labels in recent times. For the Hamburg outpost's latest trick, they welcome back Monte, who – you might well recall – impressed upon on the label with a number of releases that arrived to to great fanfare last year and thanks to the glorious sounds of the 'Radical' EP, we’re delighted to announce that the man behind the music has lost none of his nous in the intervening time.

The action gets underway thanks to title track and our choice for premiere, ‘Radical’, a rollicking rollercoaster of a track aimed squarely at peak time dance floors which motors along to give clubbers something to really sink their teeth into. Slickly driven synth lines underpin a sparse yet menacing vocal line full of promise, with the track heaving along as it flexes its production prowess for a cut sure to be finding its way into the sets of house music's more discerning selectors upon release. Backed by a remix from Man Power and frenetic B-side 'Simpler', which jam packed with off kilter energy, is similarly sure to pick up plenty of attention during the small hours in the coming months and add a spine-tingling sense of drama to any set it pervades.

Out with their third EP of 2016, this August Monkey Safari will release 'Boris,' with remixes by Guy Mantzur and Victor Ruiz, showing the world once again that these guys aren't messing around. 'Boris' is the follow up to their successful mega-EP, 'Bernstein,' released in June, with remixes by John Digweed & Nick Muir and UNER. Their next four-track EP shows the brothers' more serious, grownup side, taking new risks with no vocals, utilizing empty spaces and slower buildups. 'Boris' showcases proper club music: dark and sweaty Tech House with a hypnotic twist.
In the first track of the EP, self-titled "Boris," Sven and Lars go even deeper into their trance trajectory bridging on the darker side of Techno. The second track, "Dodge," takes listeners on a mystical journey playing with deep ambient sounds and a drop that makes your heart speed up. Tel Aviv-based producer Guy Mantzur (Kompakt / Bedrock / Diynamic) drops his hypnotic and seductive remix of "Boris," impossible not to get lost in. Additionally, Brazilian producer Victor Ruiz’s up-beat and complex remix of "Dodge" is not to be missed. Monkey Safari's dedication to their craft is catching the attention of industry dignitaries and fans alike with their consistent releases and non-stop international touring. As we check off another year for Steyoyoke Recordings, we would like to thank you for joining us on this wonderful journey and appreciate your continued support. To mark our 6th Anniversary, we invited some of the best producers to create remixes of our favourite Steyoyoke tracks of 2017. The release will feature remixes from Hernan Cattaneo, Audio Junkies, Martin Roth, Simon Doty, Nairo and Township Rebellion. The anniversary vinyl will be showcased and sold at our 6th Anniversary Party at Ritter Butzke in Berlin.

Opening the release is Hernan Cattaneo and Audio Junkies’ take on BLANCAh’s “Talus”. The result is pure energy with playful rhythm, soothed by melodic synths. Reinventing Soul Button’s “Paramour” is Martin Roth, who certainly adds a bit of forthright edge and deeper undertones to the original mix. Next up is Simon Doty and Nairo’s version of Nick Devon’s “Overflow”, which unleashes vivid elements scattered across heavy bass lines. The fourth and last track in this release is Clawz SG and Nick Devon’s “Syndicate” remixed by Township Rebellion. Saturated with explosive attitude, this remix surely won’t let one stand still!
