As the dust finally begins to settle after the release of Pan-Pot's massive album 'The Other', it's time to unleash a collection of heavy hitting reworks from the best and brightest stars of todays techno elite. Through careful consideration and an acute attention to detail, we couldn't be more elated to confirm ten artists we know and love to contribute their unique vision to Second State's first ever remix package.

Kicking things off with a heavily twisted alteration of 'Attention' is Nicole Moudaber and it's a tangled, dark trek through dense acoustic layers of audible madness. Next up is the Hamburg duo

Extrawelt with their twist on 'Optimistic Grey' and they deliver a beautiful blend of emotion and groove they are synonymous for.

Following suit is another passionately romantic number from man of the hour, Stephan Bodzin, and his take feels like floating through a sea of clouds, resulting in a timeless classic to be a focal point in any set for years to come.

Next in line is Ray Kajioka's take on '808 Nirvana' and it's a cosmic ride, ripe with swirling atmospherics laid over big churning drums and rolling cymbals.

Following up on the second 12“ of this LP is a man who needs no introduction: Carl Cox. And in true Coxy fashion he turns 'Riot' into just that: a big room, tension building monster!

Broken Engine' is the next track to get worked over and Wigbert delivers a stunning mix of shimmering tones and growling bass resulting in a lush venture through a cosmic backdrop of flickering stars in deep space.

Joseph Capriati ensues with his vision of 'Fugitives' and he brilliantly keeps the vibe of the original yet adds his trademark big room flair to take it to another level of driving euphoria.

Enlisting the talents of Alan Fitzpatrick to remix one of the slower listening tracks on the album turned out to be magic. With his signature percussion, Fitzpatrick takes the parts and creates a dive deep into sultry smooth waters of seduction.

The first of our last two remixes, which are digital exclusives, come from Paul Ritch and he delivers a grinding rendition of 'Riot', expertly crafted for the more euphoric peak time occasions.

Last and certainly not least is a man on the rise, Kevin Knapp with his twist on his own collaboration with Pan-Pot: 'Get In'. An expertly crafted tech house jam exploding with energy and attitude perfect for any moment, day or night, indoors or out.

No matter the time or place, there is something here for everyone and we are truly fulfilled and honored to present this package of cutting edge artists to celebrate this landmark moment. We know you will enjoy!

The third edition of Senso’s compilation EPs lands with four fresh tracks from the label’s extended circle of friends and family. Senso Sounds Level 03 is packed full of Senso’s trademark - techy, tough and driven grooves shot through with dirty machine funk.

Hatzler - the much lauded German DJ and producer - is a case in point. His 'High Noon' is hard as nails techno - built around an insistent pulse but with gnarly, growling synths evolving into
an epic journey over almost 8 minutes. 

Rob Hes’ 'Drag Me Down' is similarly high calibre. The Dutch star shows why he's creating such a fuss right now with this incredibly potent burner - tight drums, bubbling synths and long atmosphere builds and releases showcase his talents. 

Paul Ursin - the Italian producer also riding the crest of a wave right now- shares 'Space Race' - a sleek and slender techno diamond that’s going to get a lot of love over the next months. Last but not least, Cachette’s 'Modul' brings the 3rd EP in the series to a close, a fine shuffling and spacy excursion that settles into a killer, unignorable groove.

Drumcode favourite Bart Skils kickstarts the new year with his sixth EP for the label Bark Skils opens new year's season with his 6th hard hitting EP released on Drumcode

Since his debut on Drumcode in 2012, Bart Skils has been one of the label’s most regular contributors, with the Dutchman’s brand of functional, hook-driven techno a go-to weapon for Adam Beyer; from his stellar ‘Shadowprint’ EP in 2014, to last year’s classy remix of Moby’s ‘Go’. One of The Netherland’s hardest working ambassadors for techno, he is the organiser of the beloved Voltt Love Summer Festival that’s has been a favourite of Beyer’s for many years. 

His latest work for Drumcode, ‘Bells of the Revolution’ continues his impeccable reputation for quality with everything he does, with four cuts all with their own distinct storyline. The title track is characterised by dark driving grooves and bubbling acid line that slowly evolves into a lush melodic riff. ‘Ocean Drive’ nose-dives into deeper techno territory, while maintaining a sense of exquisite tension throughout. ‘Vocalized’ follows, a stomping acid techno cut that slides into the deep courtesy of skilfully programmed vox and elegant licks of melody. The EP concludes with ‘Retrodade’, a track that’s been one of the biggest in Beyer’s sets in 2017 and features the famous vocal from Rozalla’s ‘Everybody’s Free’. The sample was used with kind permission from the iconic ‘90s singer.

Senso’s commitment to quality, forward thinking techno has remained 100% consistent of the label's existence. Oliver Huntemann’s bespoke imprint hits all the right pressure points once more. Distale is a new project from Berlin based Michael Knop, himself a techno prophet who until now has kept a fairly low profile - preferring to let his music do the talking. This three track EP kicks off with 'Keep Watching' a powerful, lean and musical cut that stretches the tension to breaking point - the precision programming lends the track a forward propulsion that it's impossible not to get swept along with. 'Isolate' starts in a more dub techno vein, a submerged groove augmented with dub echoes and reverb to give the track a huge sense of scale. 'Mezzo' is a harder proposition, a punchy midrange kick set the tone, crispy percussion adds the top end fizz and a growling aggressive bass brings the attitude.

Stepping up for his debut EP on Berlin based Techno and Electronica label Off Recordings, Belgium based Tom Hades provides an EP primed for the record bags of the biggest Techno DJ’s around the world. ‘Stability’ mark’s his first full EP of 2018 in impressive style.  
 
Off Recordings has played host to some of the most renowned names in Techno, House, Electronica and everything in between. Founded by Andrew Crom in 2008, Crom has guided the label to over 90 releases featuring artists such as DJ W!ld, Mat.Joe, Darius Syrossian and Jay Lumen. He now welcomes Tom Hades into the coveted Off Recordings Family.  
 
Opening the EP in impressive style is the title track ‘Stability’. Setting the tone with a signature 808 drum-pad groove and building into a crescendo of industrial synth stabs, all combined with a powerful low-end bass. Following the opener is ‘Shapes’ with 7 Minutes of peak time madness. ‘Shapes’ is completely dripping in acid tones covered with a driving bass line and accompanied by a melodic synth.  
 
‘Balance’ brings the EP down to a slower pace as we hear Hades build upon the melodic synth vibes we hear in ‘Shapes’, this time using them to dramatic effect amongst an array of hi-hats and drum sequencers. ‘Core’ brings the EP to a close in emphatic style, delivering a thunderous demonstration of his abilities, stitched together with hi-hats and low pass drops.  
 
‘Stability’ EP is another example of Tom Hades prowess within the specialist Techno world and further solidifies his expert use of straightforward basslines and eternal melodies.

Strange Town Recordings is back again with an astounding release. It's Bangalore-based Weird Sounding Dude, DJ/producer who's dropping a deeply compelling groove on the label.

Our premiere "Adia" will lift you to higher-grounds with its subtle meandering rhythm, catchy bass-line and sun-kissed brilliance. 

Bio:
Weird Sounding Dude is a Bangalore-based music producer/DJ. He has always enjoyed a place in the underground dance music culture. His trademark chuggy grooves and squelchy rhythms are sure to satisfy his audience but there are always a few surprises along the way.

As it happens with a lot of artists, only DJ’ing wasn’t enough for his musical expedition, so he embarked on a journey to prove his worth as a self-taught producer. Drawing his influences by the likes of James Holden, Extrawelt, Nathan Flake and Worakls. 

It’s safe to say that this “Dude” in particular isn’t just another kid on the block. His voyage has slowly started to take shape with no intentions of slowing down.

Revelation of Sound is happy to present David Guzy (Marburg/Berlin, Germany) who started DJing a while ago with a good friend, playing Hip Hop and Funk as „Guusbert“. Soon due to the influence of his friend Jonas Saalbach, „GUZY“ was introduced to Electronic music and he
immediately fell in love with it and puts the Passion he has for this Genre into his productions and sets. Guzy has refined his sound over the years but his love for Deep and Progressive-House never changed. Early 2017 his first Collaboration came out as a co-producer with Foreign Guest on the "Morva Ep" which came out on Underyourskinrecords and hit more then 174.000 plays on Spotify. Listen here:

In October Jonas Saalbach and Guzy ́s label “radikon” starts, they work together with following artists to create a new entourage of creative friends. We are talking about this constellation of people: Dahu, Innellea,
Yubik, Foreign Guest, Tony Casanova, Budakid, Jonas Saalbach and Guzy. Since Guzy started he played all over Germany. He also played shows in switzerland for example at “Schneiderei” and also at „Hive Club“.He made it out of Europe and played in Countries like the United
States, in Vietnam and in several Locations in Beirut Lebanon like B018, Projekt and Off and On Barbershop.
