'Next up for the rising Desert Hearts Black label, is a big single from Darin Epsilon and Galestian. 

Following up his great release with Marc DePulse, Darin makes his return with a charged progressive groove titled “Reset.” This tune is layered with arpeggiated emotion, and just keeps climbing throughout the entire ride. Darin is such a dynamic producer, constantly showing his range, and Reset is another example of his ever expanding work.

This release also carries two exciting remixes, taking Darin and Galestian’s creation even deeper. The first comes from Fur Coat, making his debut on the label, and delivers that signature dark energy. Galestian has previously collaborated with Paul Oakenfold and released alongside Olivier Giacomotto, with music out on labels such as Berlin’s Ritter Butzke Records and Toolroom. Another big artist joins the DHB catalog with a remix, and this one brings the heat.

The second remix, rounding out the release, comes from label heads and founders Marbs & Evan Casey. Moody, melodic, and a journey driven remix taking us through the realms with some beautiful moments and shifts. Another great collab from these two here, and a big release all around for the DH imprint. Release date for this one is November 12, so stay tuned!'

‘Safe’ has already been played by select DJs and tastemakers around the world. The track breaks the dancefloor with vanguard metallic flavor. Its characteristic and analog sound brings peculiar harmonies and atmospheric pads, shrouded in mystery.

'Headlights' was Jonas Saalbach's debut album on his own label, and our most ambitious and anticipated Radikon release for 2021. Catalog number 41 features three reimaginations of some of the album's most memorable tracks with Fur Coat, Magit Cacoon, and Henry Saiz on remix duty.

Fur Coat's rework of 'Headlights' gears the original's monumental orchestra of synths squarely towards the club. Forceful arpeggios set to hovering strings frame Angus Powell's angelic vocals, and transform Jonas' anthemic electronica track into pure dancefloor energy.

Magit Cacoon's take on 'Cellophane' is an exercise in superlatives. Infusing the original with commandingly sharp synths and blips, her rendition effortlessly oscillates between mesmerizing atmospheres and a commanding, sub-heavy groove to create a true peak-time weapon.

Pure ecstasy and feel-good grooviness are the protagonists in Henry Saiz' version of 'Changing'. Carefree organ chords, funky synths, and the chorus-laden beauty of Luna Semara's vocals transform the original into a timeless track for endless days in the sun.

'Headlights' was pivotal to us as a label. With the Headlights Remixes, Fur Coat, Magit Cacoon, and Henry Saiz beautifully showcase the magic that happens when styles merge and thoughts are spun one step further.

Using rolling percussion and a thumping kick, Luigi’s four track EP starts with a bang as the title suggests; ‘Primo’ really is unbeatable! Luigi uses synth stabs that add character and finesse to this outstanding piece of music. ‘I Believe’ uses dubby drums and an infectious vocal to really tear things apart before dropping into a melodic synth section that will make anyone move. Tantra’s melodic groove synths help this early morning track really come into its own before the main melodic section, accompanied by strings, will take any clubber to their own dimension. Hypnotizek rounds off the EP being more upfront about where it’s going. This cheeky, groove based track will warm up a dance floor quickly and get people in the mood for a real party!

Luigi Madonna returns to Drumcode a year after his superb single ‘Primo’ using familiar hooks, huge stabs and monstrous drums that storm across the dance floor which, are common with Mr Madonna. The hard hitting raw vibe of this EP gives Luigi an edge, with fluttering high’s and saturated lows, Luigi’s tracks are a mainstay in all DJ sets. The EP encompasses different emotions throughout that can be felt within the track ‘Singer One’, offering a more mellow side to Luigi’s already expansive catalogue.

Acid and break beat are coming back, and that can be heard in Jam El Mar’s remix. Jam El Mar drops a snapping acid line, thick kick and has a massive pad engulfing the mix, this is a big room techno anthem with a hint of trance.

EARLIEST MUSICAL INFLUENCES?
Maybe the most important musical influence was when I first heard Jimi Hendrix’s 'Voodoo Child' and the b-side 'All Along The Watchtower’. It was a five-inch single and ended up looking like a spiral, from the number of plays it got on my turntable.

This release was the ignition to become a guitarist and a musician. When Henrix played his hi-gain sounds it has the same intensity and expression similar to that of todays techno music, I think anyway. HIs guitar didn’t sound like a guitar, and more like an electrical thunderstorm.

Later when I discovered electronic music, it was mainly Tangerine Dream that has been a strong influence and Klaus Schulze. They had this intense atmosphere that you can maybe hear on some of my older productions that I did. When I heard the early R&S Records like 'Energy Flash', ‘Metasm' and 'Acid Phase' - I was set on fire with inspiration, and still am today.
 

IDEAL SETTING TO LISTEN TO THIS?
Most likely a main room techno party dance floor, with a top-notch sound system, sweat dripping from the walls and a comet passing by. LOL. I simply love high energy moments in contrast to deep vibes in a perfect flow. ‘Snake’ has these changes from major to minor that give it a certain intensity together with that sizzling tone building up throughout.
 

FILE IT NEXT TO?
‘Snake’ sits next to my collection amongst other atmospheric tracks like ‘Sooth’ also by 2Pole or ‘Premonitions’ by Saturn Storm, not forgetting Charlotte de Witte’s ‘The Healer’.
